For some athletes, the hardest part of softball isn't the pressure, the competition, or even the losses. It's realizing that one day, you won't play anymore. Maybe you've graduated. Maybe your playing days are ending sooner than you expected because of an injury. Maybe you're simply reaching the end of this chapter. And it's okay to grieve that. You've given so much of yourself to this game. But hear me on this: You are MORE than an athlete. The discipline, resilience, leadership, faith, and determination you've developed on that field don't disappear when you hang up your cleats. Those qualities are part of who you are, and they'll go with you into whatever comes next. God's purpose for your life has never been limited to a softball field. The game may be one of the ways He shaped you, but it is not the end of your story. The uniform may come off. Your purpose does not. Who are you becoming beyond the game?
