NY ELECTION ISN'T ABOUT TRUMP It's not about Trump. In New York. It's not about Trump. It's about you. You, and how the governor is screwing you. You and your family and your state. In New York, the election is about the least popular governor in America and the most expensive and dysfunctional state government in the country. It's about holding a governor accountable for five years of failure and fatigue. It's about understanding that the chaos in Albany is separate from the chaos in Washington, and while you can't do much about Washington, you can make a change in Albany. And if you don't, you're going to keep getting screwed. Your neighbors will keep moving away, your jobs will keep disappearing, your poverty rates will keep rising, your streets will continue to be unsafe, your schools will continue to fail. Poverty? In New York City, it was 18% when she took over and it's 26% now, with similar numbers across the state. Taxes? Business rates were 6.5% when she took over and they're 7.25% now, taking some $20 billion a year out of our employers' pockets. She has raised the MTA payroll mobility tax twice and folks in New York City are a combined 9.43% before local taxes are factored in. Energy? Electricity rates have gone up 68% since she became governor. Natural gas prices have gone up 25%. And both of those are the result of state taxes and policies -- state taxes and policies signed into law by the governor. Housing? Housing costs over much of the state have increased some 50% since she became governor -- compared to 30% nationally. Education? Most expensive public schools in America, with middling outcomes in our best schools and horrific results for students in our cities -- and some of the lowest literacy rates in the country. Health care? Health insurance is 40% more expensive in New York than in the rest of the country -- because of taxes and mandates signed into law by the governor. Outmigration? During each year of this governor's term, more than 400,000 people have moved out of the state, far outstripping the number moving in. And those moving out have largely been tax payers and those moving in have largely been tax users. Management? This governor had a wildcat strike in her prisons and two inmates savagely beaten to death by correctional officers and yet has done nothing to replace her failed commissioner or make the prisons safe for inmates and employees. And the Tax Foundation says this governor's New York is dead last among the states when it comes to places to start or run a business. And none of that is about Trump. All of that is about Hochul. It doesn't matter whether you hate him or love him. This is about her. More of her constituents tell pollsters they disapprove of her than any other governor in the country. Her state is troubled and trending downward. And it's her fault. And it's your choice. You can't fix Washington, but you can fix Albany.

Too many administrators!!😁
Teachers: Have you ever watched your school district spend money on something and thought:“Who approved this?” What is the biggest waste of taxpayer dollars you’ve seen in education? And should teachers do more to inform the public?

I mentioned that at every parent meeting. You are right on!!! 🥴
Many parents will say they want a coach who holds their child accountable… Until the coach holds some of their children accountable. Then we need a meeting, two administrators, game film, witness statements, and possibly congressional oversight.

Equitable grading is grade inflation which equals higher graduation rates. But it also means some students are years behind in reading and math while the graduation rates say they’re doing just fine. How did we get here?

Education absolutely refuses to reckon with one simple, undeniable fact: Some people are simply smarter than others

This is one of the best and most moving political ads I have ever seen. New York... Vote BLAKEMAN for Governor this November. There are tons of 9/11 families in NY who feel this way. This type of pain doesn't fade. These kinds of wounds never fully heal. Do it for them.

Idiot! 👇🏼
The SAVE America Act has never been about securing elections. The midterm election is just weeks away, and House Republicans want to immediately implement legislation that would upend our elections and make it harder for millions of Americans to vote.

We are teaching in an age where accountability has shifted almost entirely away from students and parents and onto TEACHERS.

My school district paid BIG money to a motivational speaker to “motivate” teachers. He was awful. This is how clueless many districts are. Teachers don’t need motivational speeches. They need support, accountability, and fewer distractions from actually teaching.

We've known for over a decade that advanced degrees have little to no measurable impact on teacher effectiveness. Therefore, it's wild that we’ve normalized teachers spending thousands of dollars and years of their lives earning degrees that leaves them no more effective in the classroom than they were before. Are there other fields of work that have this problem or is it exclusively education?

There is a complete professional development void in education. Administrators should stop looking for outside fixes and tap into the professionals in their own buildings. Plenty of teachers and employees have decades of experience and have seen it all. Let them take the lead.

Hey Educators. What word/phrase annoys you the second you hear it? I’ll start…”Differentiated Instruction”

We ALL know that the reason you are against voter ID is to keep open the option to cheat. Didn't you plead guilty to election law violations in the past? You, sir, are fooling no one.

Serious question: Why do neighboring school districts each need their own full central office staff? Do 4 nearby districts really need 4 separate math curriculum consultants? Couldn’t SOME services be shared to save taxpayers millions?

BREAKING: Western Michigan HC Lance Taylor says there were ZERO SECONDS left before his player touched the ball. “I know when I looked up at the clock, it was past 0 before we touched it” The commissioner is now involved. There will be an investigation.

You are ratioed EVERY time when you bring this subject up...which is about every single day. But you know that. You are following orders from party bosses. Not representing the wishes of the vast majority of your constituents is what you are best at. Congratulations.
