The project is a hyper-focused job-finder tool called MyNextAssignment.com which is aimed at people working in media/editorial/comms/etc. We scour 300+ orgs in media/tech/entertainment/academia/etc and automatically match your skills and desires to open roles (there's a brief questionnaire at signup). For premium subs we auto draft resumes and cover letters based on your writing sample and the job description itself: everything is tailored to the exact role you're applying for. Then, in my mind, you'd edit these docs as you see fit. In short: it's a gigantic time-saver for one of the most annoying parts of modern life: looking for a job! It's hyper-focused on media/editorial/etc simply because that's what I'm familiar with. So... does it work? Well, I've given beta access to a handful of friends over the past few weeks and I'm personally aware of at least five interviews with major companies in that time. We're talking literally the biggest names in media. So, heck yes it works! Obviously we can't guarantte you'll land a job and we can't guarantee you'll get an interview but for $20-$30 per month you're saving an insane amount of time and potentially landing a cool gig.
