She's been back for awhile and they just thought about looking at her apology? Shouldn't that have been reviewed before she was allowed to return? #canpoli #cansenate #fireBeyak #noroomforracisminCanada

Don’t plan anti-Racist work based on our most racist & resistant folks. Plan for the trailblazers & mid range folks. Tap into their energy. Celebrate/Nurture their courage & curiosity.
The rest will follow.
Haters will jump ship.
Walk the plank homie!
We sailing.

Refuse the urge to prove you wear a red poppy. Intead, interrogate the powers that put you on trial.
Refuse to be "good" immigrant.
Refuse to be disciplined by white supremacy.
Refuse to be shaped by nationalism, militarism, & imperialism.

I had an amazing conversation today with a parent about the difference b/w their child seeking attention vs needing connection. Lightbulb moment when the parent really understood the difference & how powerful it is to view their child through the lens of seeking connection = WOW
Deep thinking with @LeytonSchnell in Gold Trail district today. Great teacher sharing!

Starting today! Words to think about not using to describe First Nations. Top of my list "healing." Defining peoples as recovery from pain versus building on multi-generational strength and rights recognition reinforces the savage/civilized dichotomy that underpins colonialism.

Today my parents were interviewed by a grade 7 student on their residential school experience. Thank you Gabby for the great questions, but mostly for being so respectful and kind during the interview. #reconciliation#studentsunderstanding#sd74#dscs – at Ashcroft, British Columbia
