Love it how some people who had a 2 minute punch up in Wetherspoons 10 years ago think they know more about boxing than you and @curtiswoodhous8 😂😂👊

100% Ian, time for Fabio to walk away.

Good time for Wardley to call it a day. Two damaging nights v Dubois. Made good money and his story is inspiring. But he is in danger if he goes on.

Listening to you. You’d think that you’ve trained or produced many champions, maybe you could list the Champions you’ve trained over the years or brought through ?
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
2) Dubois exposed those weaknesses twice. A fighter can be dangerous, powerful, & successful yet remain technically limited. Surely, as a former world champion, you understand the distinction. Listing his victories doesn’t invalidate the criticism. It simply avoids addressing it!

Thank you Philip hope you and your family are thriving 👊👊
Barry called me about 15-20 years ago to get some opinions on S&C. We had a lovely chat. What a fine man. I was always struck by the humility and intelligence of someone with his stellar CV being so open minded that maybe I could offer one interesting idea. He & Shane. Fabulous.

Thomas he may not have had a choice, in order to get the first fight he may have had to sign an immediate rematch clause, after all they were fighting for the WBO Heavyweight Title.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
I thought this after the first fight, it was a good competitive fight, but once Dubois took control Wardley took a lot of damage I predicted he'll no longer trouble the top of the division, even just psychologically going straight back in the ring with him must be difficult. poor choice going for the rematch.

Jonathan everyone is entitled to their opinion but what you’re saying is incorrect, to say Fabio doesn’t have the fundamentals is laughable. You don’t KO former World HW Champion JosephParker and TKO unbeaten JustisHuni and DavidAdeleye if you lack the fundamentals, give over FFS
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
Because you've been around boxing doesn't automatically make you right Barry. Fabio is limited, fact. He doesn't have the fundamentals that great boxers do, and that's why he's limited. It's not insulting

You know as much about boxing as my arse knows about snipe shooting. I’m sure your vast knowledge and experience of the boxing business will confound me. Go to sleep you clown.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
1) Nonsense! You’re confusing punching power and winning fights with technical proficiency. Nobody is disputing Wardley’s victories over Parker, Huni, Clarke, or Adeleye. But those knockouts don’t erase his glaring defensive deficiencies or his overreliance on power.

Before the first Dubois fight, he beat former World Champion JosephParker, JustisHouni, FrazerClarke & DavidAdeleye all by TKO, what the fuck are you talking about?

I said in my Mirror article on Saturday that Fabio couldn’t be the same fighter, that he would have to be affected by the huge amount of punishment he took in the first fight. You could see immediately he was hesitant and Dubious just picked up where he’d left off 🧨
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
I don't think I've ever seen a fighter get hit like Wardley did in the first fight and ever be the same again. But was hopefull for him going into this fight. I was backing him to come out much more selective with his shots and be sharper with his feet, but he was awful from the very start. It looked like a pro versus an Amateur unfortunately. For the very short time it was on🤦🥊

You can train like crazy and take loads of punches in training camp to prepare BUT when you get hit like Dubois hits with those small 10oz gloves. It is like being run over by a car I’m telling you, it’s like getting hit with lump hammer.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
Cyclone,I love the fight game & have nothing but huge respect for its brave participants. But,Wardley looked like he didn't know what to do after the first knockdown. My question is, can you prepare for that in the gym?And if you can, why was Fabio so out of sorts when he got hit.

No I didn’t swim lengths under water to improve my stamina but I sparred hundreds of rounds with KenBuchanan which really helped my stamina. What’s more I spent months with Kenny in camp and he never mentioned swimming lengths under water to improve his stamina ?
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
Did you swim lengths underwater to improve your stamina like Buchanan did?

This I agree with because over the years that I’ve watch HW boxing you can see the damage these big guys take and it’s simply impossible to go through a fight like Wardley Dubois one without it having far reaching effects. So no surprises that Fabio went early #wear&tear

Wardley's punch resistance gone! @ClonesCyclone said it could happen after such an heavy fight.

Let me tell you something, when you get hit by DanielDubois like that it has a devastating effect on you. When you’ve taken really heavy shots you understand what it’s like. FabioWardley is not hugely limited, that’s bull shit and downright insulting.

I agree John that Duran hit Buchanan low many times during their fight but if you look at the way he fought against IranBarkley and DavyMoore it’s not a lot different to the Buchanan fight. The ref was to blame, he should have severely reprimanded Duran and deducted points.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
And also one of the dirtiest. If he did Ken Buchanan now, in the way he did back then, he’d have been disqualified.

That’s unfair on Wardley, he’s far from limited by the way. He had very little amateur experience and he started his boxing through the white collar route so hes done exceptionally well. However Fabio has had so many hard fights that I think it’s a similar result but earlier.
Replying to @ClonesCyclone
Predictions go out the window with huge HW's who can turn your lights out with one punch-thats why so many want to watch...That said Fabio is limited-hes been close to losing a number of times before DDD stopped him.How much damage can one face take🤔🤔

Roberto Duran has always been the greatest infighter in boxing history, just look at this clip of his fight against IranBarkley, Duran much the smaller man drops Barkley with a spectacular combination in the 11th round. For any aspiring young pro fighter study Duran meticulously.
