They say I burn bridges—yeah, well, maybe if the system wasn’t built on kindling, it wouldn’t catch fire so fast. Be honest, you missed me. ⤷ @CMPunk fan.

Over half-an-hour of of climbing, falling, getting hit with every piece of steel they could find, and reminding myself why I should’ve taken up a nice, quiet hobby when I was younger.
Maybe gardening.
Maybe crossword puzzles.
Just one little hook and a whole lot of bad intentions. And for a moment, I was right there. Fingertips away. Close enough to feel it. Then somebody pulled me down, somebody else tried to break me in half, and the whole thing turned into a demolition derby with worse insurance.
Another town, another arena, another fancy-shmancy leather seat on the jet that still somehow feels like it was designed by somebody who hates backs. Living the dream, folks.
The difference between twenty years ago and tonight is very simple: Back then, I was the guy you thought could ruin your career.
Now I’m the guy who’s going to end your Undisputed WWE title dream, and it won’t be revenge, it’ll just be business.

Kevin Owens finally decided he wanted to tell the whole world a story he’s been carrying around for twenty years, and I listened because every once in a while, somebody comes back into your life and reminds you that they never actually moved on.
They just got older.
That’s a long time to rent space in somebody else’s head but I’m not the same person I was twenty years ago.
I got better.
I learned.
I lost.
I won.
I made mistakes.
I paid for them.
I left.
I came back.
But at the end of the end of the day, all that made me… well, me.
I walked into Philadelphia and immediately found myself answering questions that weren’t even mine to answer.
Cody wanted to know if I knew Randy was coming.
If I knew about the RKO.
If I was somehow sitting in the back orchestrating his little surprise at SummerSlam.
You should understand evidence.
You benefited from doors I kicked down, from fights I had with people who told guys like us to know our place, and from me being the loudmouth asshole who refused to shut up when shutting up would’ve made everybody else’s lives easier.
