Popular Kenyan bodybuilder and fitness influencer Gachau Njoroge has retired from competitive bodybuilding after finishing sixth in the recent Mr East Africa Body Fuel Fitness Championship heavyweight division a few weeks ago. Known for his intense approach to the sport, including the open use of livestock dewormers such as ivermectin and fenbendazole, heavy supplementation, and a very high-calorie diet,Gachau has now chosen to step away from the competitive stage. Earlier in the year, he briefly crossed into celebrity boxing at the Vurugu 2 event organised by Oga Obinna, where he suffered a dramatic sixth-round technical knockout against Phil Castro. After absorbing heavy body shots, he was left gasping for air and ended up on the canvas, an experience that left him hospitalised briefly and convinced him boxing was not his path. Gachau has said he will now prioritise his overall health and well-being while focusing on content creation and coaching.
