Selderhuis is kennis van de geschiedenis van de kerk is nodig om de eenvoudige reden dat je moet weten waar je vandaan komt, als je wilt weten waarom je bent wat je bent, en om te weten waar je naartoe moet.
In het septembernummer van Connect nemen we vanaf pagina 5 dit vakgebied uitgebreid onder de loep. Aan het woord komen docenten, onderzoekers en studenten.

Great event as the speaker went through biblical passages relating to the Christian and civil government. Lots of practical applications and the crowd of mostly younger folks mingled and encouraged one another.

A few observations from Collin Hansen’s post clarifying the grant source. 1) he shared that TGCUS had received other grants. I wasn’t aware of the Templeton grant for the New City Catechism. 2) earlier in the thread he described TGC as a leader among “Christian publishers.”

By observation, the amount of government dollars being spent to convince Albertans to remain in Canada gives evidence that the proponents of independence are not a fringe movement. It indicates they have much more support than public polls suggest.
