First Time Flying Southwest After Assigned Seats. Much Preferred! I am an infrequent Southwest Airlines flyer due to American having better availability out of my airport. I usually fly Southwest when it offers a direct flight vs. American. Flew for the first time after the implementation of the assigned seats. My experience was great and I prefer it over the old system immensely. 1) I paid for extra legroom. This provides group 1 boarding. 2) Flight attendants were attentive to where passengers were placing there bags, making sure they were over their seats. 3) Flight attendants were monitoring seat jumping by passengers moving to extra legroom seats/exit row. 4) There was only 1 wheelchair. 1….. 5) I no longer have to stress about checking in or paying for early bird!!!!! @SouthwestAir is getting it right with this change. All for it! Keep it up.
