If - in this moment - you're burning fossil fuel: you're strengthening the status quo and accelerating climate breakdown.
If - in this moment - you're helping to wake people up to the urgent need for action: you're making things better.
No one's perfect, but try to shift norms.

your emissions from the flight are about a billion times worse than that plastic straw you're not using
Your sipping habits at 33,000 feet are about to get a makeover: Today, Alaska Airlines became the first U. S. airline to ban single-use plastic straws and citrus picks in its lounges and on all flights starting July 16. cntraveler.com/story/alaska-…

WEEK 15 of my @UN #ClimateStrike in NYC. Last week 1.6M protested. Now, everything and nothing has changed. There's more awareness, but also more denier attacks. So I'm still here, your 13 yr old reminder that we have 11 yrs to reduce GHG by 50%. What do we do now? @GretaThunberg

What I fear most about the climate crisis is not just the damage it is doing to our earth, but the horrific things humans do to each other in times of fear, chaos, crisis and low resources.
I fear what we will do to each other when the chaos hits.

That is what the 7 year olds in this video say when they are schooling you all on what to do about climate change. They make more sense than all the adults I know.

The fact that these record numbers (!) are occurring already in March(!!) and that they’re not causing huge reactions is unbelievable. But it proves that people don’t have a clue about the climate crisis.
And that is very hopeful. Because if they knew they would start to act.
