When Injective’s CEO met US officials in Washington last week, it wasn’t the first conversation. @injective has been making its case on the SEC’s public record for over a year. Here’s what it actually says…
@injective Labs filed written input with the SEC’s Crypto Task Force. The first came on July 9, 2025, and a second, dated Oct 29, 2025, focused on DeFi lending.
In plain English, a lending protocol that is non-custodial, over-collateralized, runs on open-source code, and isn’t used to raise capital is not an investment contract or a note. A loan is a loan, and the lender expects interest, not profit from someone else’s work. These are automated programs moving credit around, not companies raising money. Another Injective letter adds that truly decentralized protocols shouldn’t be treated as exchanges or brokers, with a time-based exemption for ones on the way there.
The honest part is these are advocacy letters, not rules, and the SEC hasn’t adopted them. In July 2026, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said some crypto vaults and onchain lending strategies may fall under securities laws, depending on how they’re set up. So the meetings show where the conversation is heading, not where it ends.

Injective's onchain revenue growth is accelerating, putting it ahead of many major blockchains in the space.
All of this revenue is used to buy back and burn $INJ every month. With RWAs scaling and new Injective product launches on the way, this revenue is only set to rise.

Injective’s week in plain English (Oct 12 to 18). A lot happened, so here are the top five things that mattered the most…
Oct 12th, @injective confirmed that work on quantum-resistant infrastructure has started, four days after announcing it was coming. There are no technical details, timeline, or governance proposal yet.
Then two days later on Oct 14th, CEO @ericinjective met officials from the White House, SEC, and CFTC in Washington, joined by Injective’s general counsel, head of policy, and head of research. Injective says the aim is to work directly with US officials on advanced tokenization, and it hasn’t shared what was discussed. Pineapple Financial rebranded as pentiv on the 15th, and Injective says Pentiv plans to tokenize its entire $10B real estate portfolio on Injective.
Two plumbing upgrades followed. Oct 16th, a new USDC route through Circle’s CCTP, available via LI.FI and Jumper and Oct 17th IIP-709 passed, so core trading actions like orders, cancels, deposits, and withdrawals now have fixed, published gas costs.
When put together, outreach to regulators, institutions moving in, and quieter fixes that make the chain easier to use. What to watch next is the first real details on quantum protection and how much of Pentiv’s portfolio actually lands onchain. $INJ

Moving money between blockchains has a bad reputation; wrapped copies of tokens, bridges that get hacked. @injective just added a simpler route for $USDC…
The new route runs on Circle’s CCTP, and you can use it through LI.FI and Jumper. Injective’s weekly update says it covers native $USDC coming from any EVM chain or Solana.
Here’s how CCTP works. Instead of locking coins on one chain and minting a copy on another, Circle burns the USDC on the source chain and mints the same amount on Injective. What arrives is native USDC issued by Circle, not a wrapped version.
Why it matters: dollars are what trading, tokenized assets, and payments on Injective run on. Injective’s own announcement says this USDC works across both its EVM and Wasm apps. To be clear, this is an easier on-ramp, not a new coin, because native USDC has been on Injective since the spring. Injective says the goal is for USDC to be a standard across more than 20 chains.

I just checked the injective-protocol:native NFT 7d volume last night cuz i was bored scrolling.
Premier Ninjas just sitting at 43.78 like everyone else is playing a different game
Cult of Anons second at 23.73, already feels like two separate leagues
Then it falls off a cliff as Masked is 6.27, Injective Quants 5.77, Ninja Shuttles 5.54
First place alone is almost double second and bigger than the bottom three combined
Either people are dumping everything into one thing or the rest are quiet as hell
idk volume can be noisy tho, sometimes it's just a couple whales moving the same pieces back and forth
Doesn't make the list useless but i stopped treating these screenshots like gospel a while ago
Numbers move fast on this side
Been watching @injective NFTS for a bit, never gets the same noise as the big chains so the volumes look small next to SOL or ETH stuff
The people who are actually active tend to stick longer than the tourists tho, doesn't mean anything pumps
Not telling anyone to buy, next week the order could flip or the whole list could be irrelevant.
I just like seeing where the money actually went instead of what people are yelling about. take it or leave it

I just voted 😮💨🥷🏻.
Gas fees are the boring thing that decides whether an app feels smooth. Today is the last day @injective stakers can vote on making them fixed for trading…
The proposal is IIP-709. It would set fixed gas for exchange actions, meaning placing orders, canceling them, deposits, and withdrawals, with the costs published up front. Right now an app often has to simulate a transaction first just to guess its gas. Fixed costs remove that step.
Injective says the goals are lower delays, fewer failed transactions from running out of gas, and fees you can predict. Fixed gas mode has already been tested on testnet. Voting closes today, Oct 17, at 1:02 p.m. ET, and $INJ stakers can vote on Injective Hub.
The honest part: it’s still only a proposal until the vote closes and the change is implemented. It covers exchange actions, not every kind of transaction, and Injective’s posts don’t give an implementation date. If it passes, the real test is how it feels for traders and apps.

UPDATE⚡️: The “$1B tokenized on Injective” story just got a new name on the door. The company behind it, Pineapple Financial, is now operating as Pentiv🔥
Recently Pineapple Financial announced Pentiv as its new operating brand and launched an AI platform for mortgage brokerages. Its filings still use the legal name Pineapple Financial Inc., and it still trades on NYSE American as PAPL.
For Injective, the base is unchanged, 2,079 mortgage records, worth over $1B, already onchain. What’s new is the plan. Injective says Pentiv will tokenize its entire $10B real estate portfolio and run its AI agent operations onchain with INJ. Injective also cites a $100M INJ treasury strategy.
The l: “entire portfolio” is a plan. What’s onchain today is mortgage records, not tokenized buildings. The target is more than 29,000 mortgages over time, so the real proof is how many of them actually show up on Injective.
Big things are happening on @injective

Ask someone “what can I actually trade on @injective?” and the answer is a bigger menu than most people expect…
As of Sept 1, onchain data showed:
135 active RWAs markets on Injective.
✅ 111 stocks.
✅ 11 foreign exchange.
✅ 9 commodities.
✅ 2 indices
✅ 2 pre-IPO.
All of them are quoted in $USDC.
These are perpetuals, which are contracts with no expiry date that track a price. You trade the price, not the company itself. The pre-IPO ones track private companies that don’t trade on any public exchange, and Crypto Briefing names SpaceX and OpenAI.
The activity is real. Volume across these markets passed $5.3B since early 2025, and monthly volume climbed from $61.4M in May to $186.5M in July and $209.7M in August, which is 3.4 times May.

Injective is now home to 135 live onchain RWA markets.
No other layer 1 pairs a live institutional tokenization record this deep with the regulatory rails to scale it. Here are just some of the institutions and milestones driving it.
→ POSCO International, South Korea's largest trading company, and LG CNS, the technology arm of LG Group, selected Injective to tokenize live trade receivables from real international commerce
→ Injective Institutional Services is now an SEC registered transfer agent, enabling Injective to tokenize assets in the US
→ The INJ MiCA white paper is listed on ESMA's register, opening access to $INJ across the EU
→ Injective CEO Eric Chen met with senior officials at the White House, SEC and CFTC this week to advance tokenization in the US
→ Over $1 Billion in real world assets are now tokenized on Injective
→ Gulf Labs, part of Thailand's $27 Billion GULF Group, bonded roughly 500,000 INJ as an institutional validator and will bring tokenization and stablecoins to Thai energy, telecom and banking
→ Markets for SpaceX, OpenAI, equities, FX and digital asset treasuries have driven over $6.8 Billion in cumulative RWA volume on Injective
→ Injective Mint is an upcoming major product launch, bringing the first platform built to take institutional grade RWAs mainstream with compliance controls enforced at the protocol level
→ Laser Digital, the digital asset arm of Nomura, Japan's largest investment bank, tokenized the Laser Carry Fund on Injective alongside BlackRock money market products and Hamilton Lane's SCOPE Senior Credit Fund, all with onchain secondary trading, collateralized lending and portfolio margining
→ Native USDC on Injective now powers payments to over 8,000 global merchants, with Circle's CCTP connecting Injective to 20+ blockchains
→ Musicow, South Korea's leading music rights platform with 1.2 million members and roughly 20,000 music IP rights traded, partnered with Injective to bring music IP onchain for fans and investors worldwide
→ NTT Digital, part of Japan's largest telco and a Fortune 500 giant, selected Injective as its primary blockchain partner for Web3
→ $INJ joined a select group of assets with regulated access in both the US and Asia, with the first US CFTC regulated INJ futures now live for institutions
→ Three INJ ETF applications are now pending with the SEC
Institutional funds. Fortune 500s. Public equities. Private markets. Pre-IPO assets. Real estate. Global enterprises. All on one network.
And we are only getting started.
