It’s not funny but all I can do is laugh. The similarities between Christian nationalists and Muslims is so easy to spot I don’t know how anyone would deny them. Same misogyny, different flavour. He’s advocating for “male guardianship laws of women”. He’s advocating for a gender apartheid in which he’s even controlling who can say hi to the women in his orbit. “As protection! Hahaha!” There’s a lot to be said about the psychology behind this need to control, to belittle, to dehumanize women as invalid. There’s also a lot to be said about “takes one to know one” and how these men are in reality telling on themselves. I hope Christian women, white women, western women take a look at the 57 Muslim countries and how women have been fighting to decolonize our own bodies for 1400 years and learn a thing or two about how to stop their bodies to be colonized by Christian nationalists or the likes of them to begin with. If it’s not too late for them already.
