THE WAR ON CHILDREN'S MINDS AND THE
MORAL FALL OF DOCTOR WHO (2005–25)
How Russell T Davies tried to lead kids through
diversity’s ‘open door’, and spectacularly failed
🧵At school, on TV and across social media children are being assaulted with far-left messaging. Rhetoric engineered to align with a future of total autocratic control.
Before they are old enough to understand the stakes, kids are indoctrinated with racial guilt as history is rewritten, conditioned to accept mass migration, and to believe that the earth is endangered by human activity. They are conditioned to accept transgenderism at the expense of others' hard-fought rights, and not to question far-left activists desecrating generations of culture.
‘Useful idiots’ working toward this dystopia are no longer in the shadows. They are upfront in their targeting of impressionable young minds who will run tomorrow's institutions, whether speaking at WEF conferences or working as activists embedded throughout the media, approving news content and gutting and repurposing legacy entertainment as propaganda.
Barely had the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials got underway in November 2023, for example, when executive producer Russell T Davies publicly exulted: “The gags and the action is for the adults and the messaging's for the kids!”
I can help with that one…

It's still not too late to protest the postponement (and rumoured cancellation) of Doctor Who... we demand it's back on our screens for January 1986! #DoctorWho #1980s #DoctorInDistress

Today is National Pop Goes the Weasel Day, apparently.
Watching 'The Prisoner' at age 13 in 1983 completely rewired my psyche. To this day, I can't hear that bouncy rhyme of socioeconomic despair without being reminded that Patrick McGoohan awakened my fierce independence and deep skepticism of authority. Be seeing you. #ThePrisoner #PopGoesTheWeasel

That’s me in the Boba Fett suit. I spent the day cosplaying to draw crowds for Jeremy’s signing at The Videodrome Store in Worcester.
He was an extraordinarily nice chap. We spent the quiet moments chatting about Star Wars, Billy Bunter, and Doctor Who. A day well spent, long ago.

Still one of my favourite passages in any Doctor Who Target novelisation! A shame this exchange isn’t in the televised version!

DID you know? These photos — including a bird’s eye view of the various sets — from The Daleks’ Master Plan: Volcano was from a collection of colour pics that was never supposed to be made public by request of their owner, of which several (below) slipped out?

Every once in a while you come across a movie that has such a profound impact, that you know you'll be revisiting it, if not on the screen then in your own mind's eye.
That was the case when I was introduced to 'The Wild Geese'. Released in 1978, the film is based on a mixture of true events and an unpublished book called 'The Thin White Line'; it stars Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Roger Moore and Hardy Kruger. It's only the second Burton film I've ever watched and the acting legend doesn't disappoint. Nor does his dear friend Richard Harris who was momentous and sublime in his performance. Roger Moore also has moments to shine; in fact the whole ensemble cast is one mighty talent pool!
The story is located between England and Africa; following a group of ex-military mercenaries employed by a merchant banker to rescue an imprisoned African president. The banker want to get his hands on the copper mining rights to the African country in question.
The race relations shown within the film change between harsh, civil, disrespectful, reverent, volatile and hopeful. In other words, real. There's also a homosexual heroic character, this is a long time before 'representation' was a thing in films and it doesn't have to ram 'the message' down your throat. All the characters were well written and beautifully portrayed. There's just enough courage, just enough determination, just enough humour, just enough charisma, just enough humanity and just enough character growth for you to care about the heroes without it over whelming the quickly paced story.
As you would expect, the action sequences were expertly done with multiple gun battles and intense moments with airplanes.
Why is it going to replay in my mind? Without giving any spoilers, it's all about the end. It's brutal, a real punch to the gut. It left a lasting mark on me, I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it.
If you like an action move, this is one with raw grit and should be on everyone's viewing list. I hope you will watch it, if you have not already.

No comfortable feel in any member —
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds —

In 1969, former 'The Avengers' lead Diana Rigg starred in a short series of German-made featurettes playing a very Emma Peel type character. These short films were released exclusively on 8mm for domestic viewing.
'The Mini Killers' was a four-part series filmed in Spain.
No dialogue. Hip music. Here's episode two. Enjoy.

When someone we admire from afar passes away, it feels like a member of our family, and it makes us sad.
It's totally fine to be sad for someone we don't personally know.
Grieving is part of life, and I'm sure the people we grieve for without knowing would be really touched.
