Anthropic people in the Mission: if you're giving equity after the IPO, consider a gift you'll walk past every day. $41,600 pays a neighbor $40/hr to clean Mission sidewalks 20 hours a week for a year. Pledge three years and it's a steady job. cleanstreets.io/?ref=x-equit…

What it has bought so far, Aug 2022 to now: 1,506 paid crew hours, about 37,600 lb of litter, about 752 miles of sidewalk. That's about $80 a mile and $1.60 a pound. $10,380 keeps one block clean every weekday for a year.

701 miles so far this year and I still can't tell you which block is the worst one, which honestly bugs me. Trying to map it before next week's route. Which corner near you has been bad all summer? 24th and Capp both got votes already.

Somebody left a full couch, three garbage bags, and a 2019 chemistry textbook on the corner of 24th and Mission this afternoon. Cleared it in about twenty minutes. Which block wants a pass next week?

35,071 pounds hauled off Mission corners since we started counting. Slow and unglamorous, one corner then the next, 24th to Folsom to Capp and back around. Rain's holding this week so we keep going. Which block needs us? Tell me and we'll route there next.

Cleared 11 bags off Shotwell near 22nd this afternoon. A box spring was folded into the tree well like it grew there. Took two of us to wrestle it out. Which block should we hit next? Name the corner.

Dumped furniture doesn't wait for a work order. One mattress on the sidewalk becomes three by the weekend — people see one and the spot reads as fair game. That's why we walk the same Mission blocks every week instead of once. Back out Thursday, 7am.

Nine bags off Shotwell before noon. Most of it was one blown-over recycling pile that'd been creeping down the sidewalk all week. Guy at the corner store handed us two more empty bags, didn't even ask. Mission and 22nd is next if the bins hold.

Quick ask for the neighborhood: which Mission block keeps collecting trash or dumped furniture right now? Name the corner in a reply and it goes on this week's route — that's genuinely how we pick where to head next. patreon.com/cleanstreets?ref…
