"Yes, your utility bill will go up this summer, but not for the reasons BGE and others are telling you. The key drivers are BGE’s soaring spending and profits and poor management by PJM Interconnection, the private entity that operates our electric grid." baltimoresun.com/2025/06/29/…

The Department of Defense can't simply stop following the review process required by federal law. For years, the Department reviewed proposed land-based wind energy projects for national security concerns while working with developers to address them. Instead, it froze that process, bringing projects across the country to a halt.
Affordable, reliable clean energy depends on a predictable and lawful review process. That's why I joined other attorneys general in asking the court to require the Department of Defense to follow the process Congress put in place.

Never forget that as early as the 1950s the oil industry knew this was *exactly* the crisis their pollution would create, but instead of warning the public, they funded massive, ongoing disinformation campaigns and lobbied against clean energy.
Climate change isn’t a tragedy, it’s a crime.

These aren’t really “wild” fires, they’re fossil fueled fires.
Scientists have directly linked the pollution from the 88 largest fossil fuel polluters to nearly 40% of the total area in Canada and the US scorched by fires.
The increase in frequency and severity of these fires is a direct result of the decades of pollution pumped into the atmosphere by these companies.
They’re literally pouring fuel on the flames. ucs.org/resources/fossil-fue…

Remember - the wildfires, the droughts, floods, heatwaves happening across the world are within "safe" climate change (1.2°C warming). We are on course to double that.
No time to waste. #ActOnClimate

Extreme heat makes affordable cooling a lifesaving necessity, not a luxury. But families across Maryland are paying more just to keep their homes safe while BGE seeks another rate hike. No one should have to choose between staying cool and paying for groceries.

There are over 800 active wildfires burning across Canada. Entire communities have been erased and dense smoke has caused major cities like Toronto to have the worst air quality in the world.
No time to wait. #ActOnClimate

💸 Why are utilities still pushing expensive gas plants when wind and solar are cheaper & faster to build? Because they earn profits building big infrastructure projects-not by choosing the lowest-cost option for customers. That's utility greed. youtube.com/watch?v=Au_OeDcr…

.@MarylandPSC just saved gas customers $1 billion over the next decade by ending an unfair policy that allowed gas corporations to profit by charging existing customers for extending methane pipelines to new customers
