Imagine carrying out this horrific attack on a pregnant woman & being handed just 34 months in prison.... ⚖️ A jealous thug who strangled his pregnant ex-partner in front of her five terrified children has been jailed for 34 months. Macauley Thomas, 28, launched the attack after their six-week relationship ended amid his jealous accusations that she was messaging other men. Newport Crown Court heard Thomas sent her a threatening message before arriving at her home in Caerphilly borough, where he told her young son: “Where the f*** is your mother? I’ll f****** kill her.” He then confronted the pregnant woman upstairs, demanded her phone and, when she refused, straddled her on the bed and squeezed her throat with both hands until she could no longer breathe. Her children screamed and begged him to stop. Thomas only released her when one child threatened to call police. The mother escaped with her children to a neighbour’s house. She was left with bruising and red marks around her neck. Thomas, of Lewis Crescent, Gilfach, admitted intentional strangulation along with drug-driving, possessing cannabis and counterfeit money, driving while disqualified and uninsured, and failing to provide a specimen. He has eight previous convictions. He was jailed for a total of 34 months.
