Just filed to run for HCAD Board of Directors, Place 2!
We must continue the strong conservative leadership and example set by Kyle Scott over the past two years, bringing real transparency, accountability, and efficiency to the Harris Central Appraisal District.
Excited to earn your support. Let’s keep fighting for taxpayers!

Good morning, Harris County!
Have your appraisals, and therefore your taxes, gone up in recent years?
That happened because of inconsistently applied standards!
Early voting starts today, so vote for real change at HCAD!
Early voting begins tomorrow, October 19!
Dont stop at the top!
Vote on every race ob the ballot!

Early voting starts tomorrow. Don’t treat the ballot like a shortlist. Every contest is an election.
HCAD Board of Directors included.
Early voting begins on October 19th.
Skip the long lines on Election Day and take your time voting on ALL races on your ballot!

The board doesn’t personally appraise your house. It does hire the chief appraiser and set the rules. Transparency, consistency, accountability start there.
Thousands of people protest their appraisals every year. That’s why efficiency has to be a priority at HCAD… and I’m all about efficiency!

People skip local races because they feel obscure. That’s exactly why the HCAD board needs your vote this midterm.
Thank you to the @HoustonChron for endorsing me for HCAD Board of Directors, Place 2!

“Trust us” is not a valuation method. Elect HCAD board members who put data, consistency, and public accountability first.
As @VanceGinn argues, Texas needs enforcement of existing charity-care rules for tax-exempt hospitals and removal of barriers to competition so real prices can emerge from patients and providers... not another layer of mandates on a distorted system.
Price transparency is useful but insufficient.

Very interesting Greater Houston Pachyderm Club luncheon today, featuring Brad Johnson,
Co-founder & Reporter at Texas Bullpen.
I also got a chance to remind people to vote down ballot on all races, including for yours truly for HCAD, Place 2!

Democracy isn’t a highlight reel. Vote the midterms all the way through, including Harris Central Appraisal District directors.
Transparency is sorely needed at HCAD. It’s the #1 complaint I hear when people complain about their property appraisals. I promise to make the process as transparent as possible!

Happy Columbus Day to every resident of Harris County!
Today we honor Christopher Columbus, the bold Italian navigator whose 1492 voyage across the Atlantic opened the Americas to the wider world and launched an age of exploration, discovery, and opportunity that shaped the nation we call home.
Let’s celebrate the courage, vision, and spirit of adventure that still define America. 🇺🇸🇮🇹

Inconsistent appraisals punish some neighbors and under-tax others. HCAD directors should be elected to fix that with transparency and accountability.
Early voting begins on October 19th.

No amount of mental gymnastics can convince intelligent people that raising taxes 60% is a good thing.
I will make sure that Harris County properties are not unfairly overvalued so that families don't get hit with higher taxes.

Overvaluations have been the lazy hallmark of HCAD for too long. Time to put a stop to that!
