$SIVE — want to see how stupid the upside gets if Sivers actually becomes a major AI laser supplier? Do the napkin math: 300M CW lasers/year × $5/laser = $1.5 BILLION revenue Now give a scarce, high-growth AI photonics supplier: 20× sales → $30B 25× → $37.5B 30× → $45B Assume ~400M diluted shares + ~10 SEK/USD: → SEK 750/share → SEK 938/share → SEK 1,125/share And here’s the crazy part: Sivers is already building >100M/year of INTERNAL Glasgow capacity. The 300M scenario assumes the hybrid model scales external production alongside it. SEK 1,000 stops looking mathematically insane. The next $LITE? Maybe we’re thinking too small.

$SIVE isn’t a "what if" bet It’s a bet on AI’s biggest bottleneck: Connectivity The major players $LITE $COHR, etc are all sold out for years, while demand keeps skyrocketing We’ve recently seen firms pointing out that the US and Asia hold massive sway in this supercycle, with Goldman Sachs naming $SIVE as one of the three main Western players Countless top-tier clients and foundries rely on them, and $SIVE is doubling down with moves like their dual Nasdaq listing and expanding production to 100M laser units using just one-third of their capacity (Glasgow) They are a player that has spent decades perfecting this technology and grinding through qualification phases that take years to pass Everything is set to kick off in Q4 2026, reaching an inflection point throughout 2027, and peaking in 2028 Faced with a shortage even more extreme than memory, according to some CEOs, clients aren't in a position to be picky And a player as reliable as $SIVE, trusted by so many major clients, isn't just an option It is the ONLY reliable Western option This is what people still don't understand, and it's what makes $SIVE a hidden gem that no one is properly valuing yet
Daily Quote — AI Infra (very bullish) $LITE $AAOI $SIVE $CRDO Goldman Sachs just marked optical modules higher. 2026–28 TAM now $68B / $131B / $148B. → +33% / +81% / +115% vs their last model. • 1.6T+ shipments lifted 29% / 61% / 50%. • 3.2T: ~0% of high-speed units in 2026 → 40% by 2028. • 800G+ market ~$45bn → ~$130bn, 69% CAGR. • SiPh takes the 1.6T laser bill from ~$160 (EML) to ~$15–20. The revision is mix, not just more racks: more optics per GPU + a speed upgrade. Same stack. Light → module → reliability. — Outlier Capital PS: I am long every stock mentioned here. NFA.

‍$POET SVP Dr. Mo Jinyu to address IFOC on September 8; POET at Booth 13A35, Hall 13, September 9–11, Shenzhen. And Dr. Mo Jinyu's IFOC talk is titled "High Power and Multi-wavelength Laser Light Sources for CPO/AI/ML Interconnects." That maps one-to-one onto the product category $POET and $SIVE are jointly developing. High power, multi-wavelength, light sources for CPO/AI interconnects — that is precisely the thing. And the timing is the point. The two companies set out a roadmap of early prototype demonstrations to customers in the first half of 2026 and production readiness by the end of 2026. It is now September, which puts us on the doorstep of that roadmap's final quarter. Layered on top of that is the language in $POET's Q2 results: the company expects to begin shipping substantial numbers of production units for qualification across the remaining quarters of 2026, and said it would make additional announcements and updates in September, subject to prevailing confidentiality agreements. The September 8 IFOC presentation could be the first window into that September disclosure.

$SIVE AI datacenters are already using hundreds of thousands of photonic lasers. In the future with the new photonics shift they will be using 2 to 10 million individual lasers. So.. demand is definitely there.

$SIVE Bought some more today. Down 1000s of dollars but happy to add at these prices. The photonics ramp will come and $SIVE is the only alternate on the market. Their pipeline is called pipeline because their buyers are themselves waiting for orders, GF from AMD for mi500 etc

Connecting the dots: Why Aeva’s ($AEVA) major AI Data Center announcement is a massive win for Sivers Semiconductors ($SIVE / $SIVEF) 🧩⚡️ Today (Aug 5, 2026), Aeva released its Q2 results alongside a milestone press release: Aeva is officially launching its Optical Connectivity business to bring high-power optical sources and silicon photonics to next-generation AI data centers (NPO/CPO). Even more importantly: Aeva signed a Joint Development Agreement with a leading optical engine provider to supply a major hyperscaler, with initial deployment targeted for H2 2027 and a full production ramp in 2028. Here is why Sivers investors should be paying close attention: 1️⃣ Sivers is the Laser Engine Under Aeva’s Hood Aeva’s proprietary optical platform doesn't build Indium Phosphide (InP) lasers in-house; it relies on established foundry partners like Sivers Photonics for custom high-power DFB lasers. As Aeva expands into External Laser Small Form Factor Pluggable Source (ELSFP) modules for AI hyperscalers, Sivers' InP laser sources are poised to be inside those modules. 2️⃣ The SEK 700M Capital Raise Suddenly Makes Total Sense Remember on July 1st when Sivers executed a massive SEK 700M directed issue, with CEO Vickram Vathulya stating the capital was needed to "proactively expand InP manufacturing capacity given long lead times"? Now we know why. Securing volume commitments for a major hyperscaler deployment starting in H2 2027. Sivers fortified its balance sheet in July so the capacity could be expanded in time for Aeva’s 2027/2028 ramp. 3️⃣ Industrial & Commercial Volumes are Real TODAY While data centers provide the 2027 hyper-growth option, Aeva’s Q2 earnings confirm that commercial volumes are already scaling: Industrial Validation: German industrial giant SICK officially launched its first commercial sensor powered by Aeva’s Eve technology and named Aeva its 2026 Supplier of the Year. Heavy Trucking ADAS: Commercial vehicle leader Bendix selected Aeva’s 4D LiDAR for Class 8 trucks across North America. Rock-Solid Liquidity: Aeva raised $115M in Q2, bringing total liquidity to $302.9M . Counterparty risk for Sivers is virtually zero. 4️⃣ Sivers Now Has a "Triple AI Engine" This positioning gives Sivers a diversified, multi-channel exposure to the global AI optics buildout: The Foundry Path: Sivers' CW lasers integrated directly into GlobalFoundries' SCALE™ silicon photonics platform & joint ELS modules. The System / Sensor Path: Sivers' high-power InP lasers embedded into Aeva's Optical Connectivity modules for major hyperscalers. The Tier-1 Transceiver Path: Sivers' DFB lasers powering Jabil’s 1.6T LRO (Linear Receive Optical) pluggable modules for AI data centers. 🔮 The Verdict The market used to view Aeva purely as a long-dated automotive LiDAR play. Today's expansion into AI datacenter connectivity transforms Aeva—and by extension, Sivers Photonics—into an active participant in the AI hardware boom. With both companies capitalized with hundreds of millions in cash and locked into 2027 hyperscaler roadmaps, the deep-tech thesis is playing out exactly as planned. #Semiconductors #AI #SiliconPhotonics #LiDAR #DataCenter #SATCOM #SiversSemiconductors Disclaimer: I am a shareholder in both Sivers Semiconductors ($SIVE) and Aeva ($AEVA). $SIVE One of the main problems with the stock is that the 1.2 Bn USD " opportunity pipeline " is seen in the same way as the opportunity pipeline for a regular company. We are not talking about the opportunity pipeline of $NKE here. It's vetted qualified companies who will buy.

I believe that a target of 90% of the "opportunity pipeline" will lead to actual sales depending on the general macro climate of the market. The companies buying has no other options and unless the shift to photonics somehow gets delayed they only have $SIVE to buy from.

With $SIVE, you're paying EXTREMELY premium 2027 multiples for a "what if" scenario. That is: What if Sivers' $1.2B opportunity pipeline converts into *actual* sales by roughly H2 2027. Whereas with $LITE, $COHR and $AAOI: you've already got revenue that's sold out, LTAs to 2028-30, shipping today, on 30-50% GMs. No "what if" needed. So either: 1. $LITE, $COHR and even $AAOI are VERY cheap right now [5-14x 2027 sales]. 2. Or Sivers is VERY expensive right now [~35x 2027 sales based on my current modelling]. I'll share a post later/this weekend for more detailed comments.

$LITE runs five indium phosphide fabs and still ships more than 30% below what customers ask for. Its CEO spent July warning that this shortage is heading somewhere worse than DRAM and NAND. $SIVE sells indium phosphide lasers. Someone on its earnings call this week asked whether it had enough capacity. The CEO said capacity is not the bottleneck. The scarcest input in AI optics, and the company selling it says it has plenty. Doesn't that seem backwards? The answer is in how he described the size of his own business 01 · THE SHORTAGE Silicon is an indirect bandgap material. It does not emit light. Every silicon photonics design imports a III-V source, and in AI data centers that source is indium phosphide. Sivers put the chain on a slide, stage by stage. Refined indium, where China accounted for 69.1% of 2025 production. InP substrates, gated by export licensing and by how fast anyone grows crystals wider. Epi wafers. Then laser chips, where high-power continuous-wave parts need different processes than the parts telecom spent twenty years optimising. Packaging makes it tighter. A traditional pluggable runs on 70 to 100 milliwatt lasers. Extra-dense pluggables move to 200. Co-packaged optics needs 200 to 400 and adds optical amplifiers on top. Same photons, more power per source, more parts per board. On the call the CEO called pluggables a market that is available and severely supply constrained now. He was describing his own market. 02 · WHAT THE QUARTER SHOWED Net sales 53.8 million kronor against 61.4, down 12%. That is the wrong line. Underneath it, product and hardware revenue was 29.2 against NRE and support at 24.6. Product is 54% of the quarter. A year ago it was 25.8 against 35.6, so NRE was the business and product was the side. That inverted in twelve months, because management is shutting NRE down on purpose to free engineers. Adjusted EBITDA -35.5 against -20.9. Cash from operations -70.0 against -20.1. The company raised 825 million kronor gross across two directed issues in April and June, converted 12 million dollars of debt in July, and carries no debt. Asked about margins, the CEO said products carry higher margin than NRE and pointed at a financial model published nine months ago rather than a new number. 03 · WHAT THE PIPELINE ACTUALLY DID The pipeline is 1.216 billion dollars in July against 799 million in May, up 268% from the end of 2025. It breaks into three stages, and they moved in opposite directions. Pre design-in went from 343 million to 778. Design-in and design-win went from 369 to 354. Sponsored development went from 87 to 83. All of the growth sits in the earliest bucket. Both buckets nearest to revenue shrank. Someone on the call asked whether the pipeline is rolling over without converting. The CEO pushed back, then explained the window: once 2026 is finished there is no point showing 2026, so the frame moves to the next five years. That is accurate and it is also the mechanism. A pipeline measured over a horizon that advances gains room each time it advances. On Sivers' own chart a custom product takes 3 to 9 months to qualify, 18 to 36 through design-in, then 9 to 12 more before production. The bucket that grew sits three to five years from cash. 04 · WHAT THE CALL GAVE AWAY Asked directly how much of the pipeline it could capture before running into production limits, the CEO said he does not see production capacity becoming the limiting factor as the company grows from a small number to its growth targets. Small number is doing the work in that sentence. Capacity is not scarce for Sivers because Sivers is not yet buying much of it. The industry constraint and the company's comfort are the same fact viewed from opposite ends. The capacity itself is borrowed. Long-run the model is one third in-house, two thirds foundry, and Glasgow phase one is dated Q4 2027 and later, so the 2027 ramps run in someone else's fab. Asked what reserving that future capacity costs, the CEO said the partners are committed strategically and not by paying each other. No prepayment, in an industry where prepaid long-term agreements are how substrate supply has been getting locked. Set that against the cycle. $NVDA guided next quarter to 108 billion dollars and called its own 70% growth outlook supply constrained, and it answered the laser question with its balance sheet, funding Lumentum and Lumentum's largest competitor at once. Across the eight supply chain layers I track, ninety-day consensus revisions average positive 43%; optical interconnect is the only negative one at -5.1%, on the lowest delivery rate of the eight. Sivers is funding itself instead, 825 million kronor at a time, into a shortage it has told us it is still too small to feel. If the LiDAR order lands with a figure attached and the Jabil beta clears qualification in Q4, small number stops being the explanation and the borrowed capacity starts getting tested.
