i cannot recommend highly enough adopting the habits of seeing the best in people, looking for the good, finding same-sidedness, holding goodwill towards all, choosing kindness in all circumstances, inclining towards the high road, living with love moment by moment, day by day

Manchester City players and supporters celebrating like they are the victims of some great miscarriage of justice instead of the instigators of one of the greatest scandals in world sport is genuinely nuts.
This Man City situation is just getting more ridiculous every single day. Prime Minister getting involved, relations between 2 countries apparently in danger.
This is what German football fans have been warning you about for years, but you only cared about signing the next £50m+ player and mocking every other league for being broke.
Ironically, now the Premier League has become the ultimate mockery. All integrity is lost.
I‘d much rather have my league be broke but keeping its soul & values than the shitshow that is the Premier League right now.

Man City fans can say “You can’t take the Agueroooo moment away from us,” and that is true, we can’t. But that moment*, what was once the greatest moment* in PL history, has now been tainted so badly it is totally meaningless.
my friends who have done best socially and career-wise are the ones who have internalised the idea that people are everything. it’s all about the relationships you build. this is fully embedded into their personality and they approach everything with this mentality.

I lost my Dad on 9/11. I don’t get a lot of reach on here. But I just wanted to share a picture. He was 39. I thought he was old. I’m now in my mid 30s and I still feel like a kid.
He was a great trader. He loved markets. He loved to find a stock no one was talking about.
The first trade I ever placed was on his work computer, where he let me click the button to buy AMAT. I loved going to the office with him. It was electric.
He was the best dad. We spent hours out in the street after dinner where he’d throw “pop flys” for me to catch. Eye on the ball.
He loved watching Sponge Bob and eating cereal, wrestling with us in the living room. He just loved being around his kids so much, and we knew it. I’m so grateful I got a dad like that.
Love you, Pops.

We’re living through the part of the movie where the scientists are sounding the alarm, begging people to pay attention, and everyone keeps pretending nothing is happening.

You are definitely wondering what the number 4,364 is doing here.
It is answering one question: When did Manchester United last name a matchday squad without one of their own?
You would have to go all the way back to October 1937. Since that month, every single first team squad has included at least one academy graduate, and the run now stretches to 4,364 consecutive matches.
It has survived world wars, relegations, managerial upheaval and the money of the modern transfer market.
The club wears this record like a badge, and every official lineup graphic quietly marks it. When the same side faces Everton, homegrown players like Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford keep the sequence alive. This is identity. United grow their own talent as seriously as they buy it.
Nearly nine decades have passed without a single interruption. The pathway from Carrington to Old Trafford stays open, and as long as one graduate is named, the count keeps climbing.

Our supporter coaches have just departed Vitality Stadium to head to Newcastle.
Those from Weymouth had to leave at 12.45am.
An absolutely incredible effort from everyone getting behind us for the longest Premier League journey of the season ❤️

Women, the reason you can have a credit card in your own name and don’t need a man’s signature to open a bank account is because of Gloria Steinem. RIP to this queen.
