Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago.
I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it.
I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it.
The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids.

It’s excellent that the UK is providing Ukraine with the blueprints for SCALP/ Storm Shadow cruise missiles, but the announcement was a wasted opportunity: The UK should have demanded that Moscow halt its attacks on Ukrainian civilians, and warned that it would give the missile plans to Ukraine if it did not, creating consequences for fascist Russia’s barbarity.
Instead, by simply announcing the handover of the plans, the UK gave the Kremlin the opportunity to paint the UK as an aggressor - which it is now doing, of course.
🚨 BREAKING: Peskov drags Britain into the war
The Kremlin spokesman claimed that Britain is taking part in the war on the side of the “Kyiv regime” and is “systematically and regularly adding fuel to the fire” by providing Ukraine with information needed to produce missiles.
Dmitry Peskov also accused the British government of standing in the way of a peaceful resolution to the war.
