Threats don't appear from nowhere - they're products of human choices, built up over time. We asked expert @ClaraVol at #RatiuDialogues2026.
Now we're asking you: how prepared are we?

International Day of the Girl, it is our duty to ensure that no door remains closed to them.
Their courage, empathy, strength, joy, friendship, and imagination—their big eyes filled with big dreams—are essential to building a world where they feel safe, seen, and powerful.
Because they are.
In our team at @MAERomania, half of our diplomats and leadership are women. Together with all of our colleagues, they contribute daily to making these words a reality, not just a wish. 🐾

Happy World Teacher’s Day!
Today we celebrate those who awaken curiosity, build confidence, open minds and quietly shape the future.
To teachers everywhere: thank you for your patience, your passion, your resilience and, above all, for the hope you plant in every generation.
Strengthening education starts with strengthening the teaching profession.
Yet new @UNESCO data show that in 2 out of 5 countries analysed, teachers earn less than professionals with comparable qualifications, making it harder to attract and retain talent in the profession.
This #WorldTeachersDay, #UNESCO calls for renewed action to strengthen the status and support of the world’s 107 million teachers.

"Romania is a serious American ally with strategic geography and a durable transatlantic orientation. While challenges exist on the level of governmental stability and security pressures, America’s interests lie in supporting Romania’s efforts to transform its existing advantages into durable hard power, energy resilience, and economic strength through redoubled cooperation."

At the ICH GA @ClaraVol emphasized Romania's efforts to promote the priorities of the Convention. We lost the elections, but diplomacy isn’t about one vote. It is about consistency, dignity, and the ability not to give up. We move forward, with our heads held high. For Romania!

Big thanks to the three impressive panelists @tanvi_ratna @ClaraVol and @marcin_przydacz who spoke on a panel on “The Three Seas and the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC)”, which I had a pleasure of moderating at the Three Seas Business Forum in #Dubrovnik @KozminskiUni
The Three Seas Initiative returns to its birthplace #Dubrovnik. Co-founded by #Croatia & #Poland, the #3SI covers 1/3 of EU territory, 120M people, $3.5T GDP. On 28–29 April, 3SI States, the #US & other strategic partners and business come together in 🇭🇷 as the 3SI goes global.

Just came back from Dubrovnik, where Ukrainian delegation led by PM Yulia Svyrydenko participated at the Three Seas Initiative Summit and had fruitful discussions on security issues, UA energy infrastructure protection, and major investment in reconstruction of Ukraine. Grateful to Croatia for hosting and to all our partners for comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
Had a great chance to discuss with my Croatian @FMatusic & Romanian @ClaraVol colleagues defense initiatives, humanitarian demining, and Ukraine's path to EU. We also paid special attention to critical needs in restoring energy infrastructure of Ukraine, as well as strengthening sanctions against russia and countering russian shadow fleet.

The panel “Three Seas and the India–Middle East–Europe Corridor (IMEC)” analyses IMEC’s potential to position the #3SI region as a principal gateway linking India, the Gulf and Europe. Panellists explore the region’s role within IMEC’s architecture, key logistic hubs and the investments and rules needed to make the corridor operational.

Honored to co-chair the @FulbrightRO Board meeting with @USAmbRO . We are strengthening the #StrategicPartnership by investing in our 3800 alumni network, the true heart of our democratic infrastructure. 🇷🇴🇺🇸
Our focus is on creating a continuous learning path for leaders, from high school students to senior researchers, prioritizing technological innovation. We are also promoting regional diversity, encouraging scholars to explore the socio-economic depth of both nations beyond our capitals.
Concrete results are emerging following our recent conversations: the approval of #MECEA will facilitate U.S. Congressional visits to Romania starting this fall, while the relaunch of the #FLEX program ensures a bright future for our youth.
Investing in talent is our most powerful tool for shared security and progress.

Today, Romania hosted its first-ever Industry Day at @NATO HQ in Brussels!
Two Ministers, Oana Țoiu and Irineu Darău, 20 Romanian companies, Allies&NATO representatives, all in the same room. We connected Romania’s defence industry with NATO.
Romanian industry showed what it can deliver and walked away with a concrete map of NATO opportunities.
I hope this kind of events will now take place every year, with more and more Romanian companies participating. Without a doubt, today we mark one more step forward for Romania’s defence industry and for the transatlantic cooperation.
