Please share. There is a gofundme to pay for cost related to Sid's death. Everything he had went to his activism. A truck parade can make mega $ but the kids of someone who fought for social & environmental justice can't get enough to pay for a funeral.

While smart casual was sported by the young guests I brought & an honorary auntie Cynthia Lam, and by @UBCACAM director @cleeprof & wife Michelle, I wore a “cheongsam” dress & “kaypo” jacket, in honour of my heritage & the story of “Chinatown.” (Just as moving after 3 hearings!)

Chinatown at @CityOperaVan was incredibly meaningful, and not just because I cried a dozen times. Bravo to everyone involved!
After 4 1/2 years of intense work, CHINATOWN, the opera created by Paul Yee, @AlicePingYeeHo1 and me ended its first run. So, so many worried tears! But so much joy.
Here's the huge, heartfelt standing ovation at @VanPlayhouse saluting the incredible singers, musicians, all.

RIP Richard Taruskin. A giant among musicologists - also a combative and sometimes divisive figure - whose work did so much to shape Russian music studies, he has died at the age of 77.
