🎙Rory: "Yes! They don't need to overturn 114 . They only need to overturn ONE!!. They may overturn 'Inflated Sponsorship' If they can prove themselves innocent of that, the whole shape of the case changes"

Absolutely agree
City fan group @WeAre1894 release a statement ahead of today’s game - where there will be a display in the south stand - saying there will be a fan forum over the Premier League verdict when the appeal process is complete. Statement:
‘City have mentioned the "tyranny of the majority" previously. The current feeling from a majority of fans is that they don't believe the process is impartial and the constant leaks and speculation highlight this protectionist set up.
Non-cooperation has been mentioned however everything was supposed to be NDA'd but the media have been able to talk a lot about a supposedly private hearing.
City fans have seen the club overturn previous judgements too. This is really why the City fans are not rushing to conclusions and today's display reflects the fact we don't need anyone telling what to do or how to feel.
We will be holding a public fans forum with The Citizens Trust after the appeal result is known to see where supporters are at that moment. 1894 Group’

#ManCity are understood to claim the Premier League has no “smoking gun” or witnesses to the alleged wrongdoing, and is relying almost entirely on leaked emails.
@ManCity also argue the CAS ruling in 2020 supports their position, rejecting the suggestion they escaped the UEFA case solely on a technicality that the case was time-barred and specific findings were made by CAS that Etihad Airways did not receive funds from Sheikh Mansour.
There is further unhappiness behind the scenes with the timing/presentation of the Premier League verdict, according to people familiar with the club’s position.

There’s a glaring hypocrisy among those who have declared Manchester City guilty before the process has concluded. For them, City are already guilty. There is no verdict left to await, no evidence left to assess and no process left to respect. City must simply accept whatever punishment follows, while players (former and current) and fans are expected to adopt particular views about the owners and the club’s conduct. Everything has already been decided.
But ask those same people whether they’d accept City being cleared, including following any appeal, and the response is invariably: “OK. They got away with it.” So a guilty verdict must be respected, but an innocent one can be dismissed? They don’t want due process. They want their predetermined verdict validated.
