The irony. Senator Lambie previously stated regarding anti-vaccine protestors: "โ€ฆ those anti-vaxxers out there โ€“ or that 20-30 per cent โ€“ the ones out there protesting in the streets and doing that sort of thing, I think you're going to find the rest of us coming at you lock, stock, and barrel." Staggering Hypocrisy. @PaulineHansonOz
Crossbencher Jacqui Lambie has warned One Nationโ€™s โ€œnastinessโ€ is โ€œpushing us towards bloody anarchyโ€ in remarks responding to the partyโ€™s cartoon mocking her health battle with vaginal prolapse. Full story: bit.ly/3UDAfLf

The age is channel 9? I canโ€™t keep up well anyway if you pay for a witness silence with 700000 and ask for. 50 year gag order it means your evidence is piss poor. mckenzie own words unethical conduct should hve cost him his job. The Afghan files which we all know was a lie and gladly published by the ABC. a cover story for the CDF Campbell trying to dismantle an elite fighting force. en.wikisource.org/wiki/R_v_Mโ€ฆ 100โ€ค Mr McBride and Mr Oakes had one subsequent meeting in person. After that, they communicated via the Signal app. Mr McBride later deleted most of his communications with Mr Oakes. 101โ€ค Later, Mr Oakes contacted Mr McBride via Signal to discuss the contents of the stories that Mr Oakes intended to publish. In his interview with police, Mr McBride said: But I met Dan Oakes, and I gave him all the materials. So again he was very enthusiastic and again he seemed to get it. And again, he was going to do a story. And he did do a story on it, but a totally different story to the one, um, that I was pushing.โ€ฆHe calls me and he says, "I'm going to run a story, it's going to be very damning, it's going to say the SAS kill people unnecessarily. I'm going to use this other witness[.] A total opposite to what you've said. I'm just warning you." And I was like, "Never call me again." 102โ€ค On 10 and 11 July 2017, Mr Oakes published a series of articles which were collectively titled The Afghan Files. The information contained in the documents provided to Mr Oakes by Mr McBride was contained in this series of articles. 103โ€ค On 11 July 2017, the AFP received a referral from the Chief of the Defence Force and the Secretary of the Department of Defence to investigate the unlawful communication of information. 104โ€ค The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions subsequently decided that, notwithstanding that there was a reasonable prospect of conviction, it was not in the public interest to prosecute Mr Oakes. wentworthreport.com/what-is-โ€ฆ drive.google.com/file/d/19WAโ€ฆ wentworthreport.com/what-is-โ€ฆ

We are dealing with a Hostile regime. Not sure who they are actually serving but it isn't the Australian people. We allowed possibly the best democracy in the world and our nation to be turned in to a tinpot communist dictatorship.
As Australiaโ€™s new Digital Duty of Care Bill heads to Parliament, liber-net CEO @NAffects & I dug into the PR campaign behind it. What we found was one of the strangest pieces of political theatre in recent Australian history. ๐Ÿงต

What a disgrace. Again, it's about time for an election.
Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes. One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico? After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people โ€” including a sitting Senator โ€” criticizing government officials. After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up. This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws. BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked. Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spainโ€”all countries where governments risk losing power to populists. I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation. After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions. So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.

TF is with the Labor party wheeling out the doozie that is Gillard all of a sudden? First for the junket in Fiji, now this ๐Ÿค” Internal polling must be dire. Nostalgia won't fix it.
My Labor government is proud to be building on Julia Gillard's legacy of education reform - delivering 121 new schools, free Kinder, the best NAPLAN results and the best paid teachers for Victoria. Thanks to Essendon North Primary School's Year 5 and 6 students for a fantastic conversation with Julia Gillard, Kat Theodosis and me - on a significant day, the 14 year anniversary of Julia's historic misogyny speech.

Venezstralia is upon us. This is the same core idea used in communist and hard-socialist retail systems, the state owns the shops (or a large slice of them), sets prices below what private margins would allow, and treats grocery supply as a political service rather than a commercial one. Soviet state stores, Cuban ration shops, and Venezuelaโ€™s government markets were built on that premise. The recurring results were not sustained cheap abundance. Shelves ran short of meat, dairy, fruit, and staples; queues and rationing became normal; quality was poor; and informal or black markets filled the gaps because planners could not match the information and incentives of competing retailers. From the mid-2000s, the Chรกvez government built a network of state food outlets Mercal, then PDVAL selling staples at heavily subsidised prices, later supplemented by the CLAP box system that delivered rationed packages of basic goods through party-linked committees. The premise was the same one in the Green Institute plan: private margins and โ€œspeculationโ€ were the problem, so the state should own or control distribution and set prices below market levels, funded in Venezuelaโ€™s case by oil revenue. The results tracked the older pattern. Price controls and state distribution produced chronic shortages of milk, meat, rice, cooking oil, and medicine. Shelves in both state and private stores emptied; queues became routine; and a large share of subsidised goods was diverted into black markets or lost to corruption inside the state networks. By the mid-2010s, official inflation was in the hundreds of percent and later hyperinflation; calorie intake fell sharply; and millions emigrated. Independent estimates documented widespread food insecurity even while the government continued to describe the missions as a success against private retailers. These morons will destroy this country... Or what's left of it at least.

Interesting use of the word "could" Because he knows it won't. Cafes across the country increased the price of coffees to cover the transaction fees. Albanese is desperate for a positive bit of spin.
