4. Cam Ward - 8
It’s interesting how ppl who know ball & analyze film see it, while people who just watch highlights or hear the network talk shows have no clue. It’s easy to tell though because they all have the same points. Nice to see Schlereth isn’t just part of the echo chamber/clickbait!
Like hearing the urgency and need for accountability from ZT and Joe after the win.
Joe Burrow with some stern words toward the team as a whole after a 31–24 went over winless Miami. “We got to be smarter. Two fumbles in the red zone. A couple personal fouls that hurt us, hurt our field position, gave them points on the board. Yeah, we got to be smarter…. We had some dumb mistakes, and we got to get those fixed if we want to be a great team.”
Being reasonably happy about an NFL win against a less experienced/talented roster does not mean you can’t also be frustrated by an O with 9+1+5 who couldn’t keep the ball+ALSO didn’t run the clock in the 4th when it matters, allowing said opposing team to make it a 1 score game
Unfortunately, couldn’t even end this game without some level of stress… 🤔… Here’s to hoping we don’t sit on our hands during this bye and actually use it to adjust some things or the rest of the season is going to be disappointing. Successful coaching staffs win after the bye
Evan “Big Money Mac” McPherson now owns the Bengals franchise record with most consecutive made FG with 22.
WhoDey?!? In the NFL, winning the games you’re supposed to is half the battle. Had to be a get-right game and we got the dub. Now, time to get some things fixed during the Bye Week to exploit the back half of the schedule- starting with a “need to”(hate to say “must”) win vs Balt
This (from the broadcast) must be real confusing to those in the “Joe’s only top tier because he has 2 premium WRs” camp
Trevor Lawerence under pressure is not a top QB in the NFL. We didn’t exploit that last week. Every team has its best week against us. 🤔
Like every game- there are 3 possible outcomes to the game vs Mia. Within the one acceptable outcome (winning) it can either be close or a showing of a stacked roster vs one that is paying more to players not on their team than on their team.
I thought ZT was better than Sirianni, he sure seems like a better fit for Cincinnati. That said- half way through the 2nd qtr PHI offensive scheme (w/o Saquon, 0 for last 17 on 3rd down coming in) looks much more effective against the same Jags team where 9+1+5 had no rhythm
