Sven Botman was shown a yellow card for this on Nicolas Jackson. VAR looked at it, and decided not to upgrade it to a red card.

“You don’t talk much do you?” Me: *tries to talk* - gets interrupted - no one cares - gets talked over - gets ignored

A typically frustrating performance today. On top for ages but not converting any chances before going behind. Gallagher our MotM for me. Thought he was really good. We have to address the striker situation in January. Bentancur stupid to react how he did. On to Coventry

Has anyone seen my slippers? Heating has finally gone on today and I need something on my feet.

Congratulations to Spurs legend Heung-Min Son, who has become South Korea's all-time top scorer! 🇰🇷 Incredible achievement, Sonny 🤍

That's one of the reasons Harry Kane is such a wonderful player. He's on a hat-trick and 99% of strikers would try to find an opening to shoot in that position in the box. He looks instead to feed the ball back to Saka because it's the better way to score. Superb.

Andy Burnham's intervention in the Manchester City affair was inappropriate, injudicious and badly, badly misjudged. It felt like a nod to the power of nation state ownership of English football clubs. It felt as if the Establishment was going in to bat for its buddies.

I cannot be doing with any of the ‘it’s not fair on the fans - they did nothing wrong’ nonsense.

Tough shit. You also didn’t play the matches and win the games and titles but you were more than happy to celebrate, take the glory and get in every other fans faces gloating about winning everything (often whilst claiming you’re untouchable).

So fuck ‘em. They enjoyed the upside of the cheating. They can enjoy the downside of the cheating.

Seems particularly apt to bring this back today #mcfc
Not a sacked manager and not a club tweet so not strictly our bag here, but full of admiration for this sad corner flag from the Beeb. The copper chasing the thief across the pitch is a particularly nice touch considering the context. 8/10 #MCFC #ManCity #BBCFootball

A piece from 15 yrs ago, Nov 2011, predicting Man City would fail Uefa's FFP. Table with all the numbers at the bottom of that. There was NO WAY, ever, MCFC were going to legitimately stay within the rules. Always clear that cheating would be required. sportingintelligence.com/201…

Most football matchgoers believe the ban on drinking in football stadiums should remain in place, as Andy Burnham suggests a change in the law could be trialled All who've attended a game Ban should remain: 64% Ban should be abolished: 26%

How much longer can the current form/results continue before there’s genuine risk of RDZ being sacked? I acknowledge 5 games into the season is too early, but there must come a point - when is it?
