We help power the world's social justice movements. Right now we're fighting for pro-Palestine and climate campaigners that are being censored.

Cairo Takeaway has always been more than a restaurant—they’re a community hub that’s never been afraid to stand for Palestinian rights. Now they’re facing a defamation lawsuit. Legal costs are mounting and they need our support. Donate chuffed.org/project/cairo-ta…

I was at the Mater this morning when the Supreme Court ruled Adani has to pay 100% of its own costs and 60% of my costs for last year’s big #DadvsAdani ‘strike out’ application. This is great news but Adani has amended its claim twice this year, now 5 times in 5 years of brutal litigation. Yes, the ongoing stress has led to heart problems and I’ve spent thousands on dental work due to teeth grinding since the case started. But today’s judgement is further reason to stay the course, WIN this case to protect the political freedoms of all Australians. I need your help for my ongoing legal costs 👇🏼 chuffed.org/project/legends

While #Madleen must be released immediately, every Mediterranean port should send boats with aid, solidarity, and humanity to Gaza. They shall sail together—united, they will be unstoppable. #BreakingTheSiege is a legal duty for states, and a moral imperative for all of us.

Mushy rice, tasteless food, squished pasta is the kind of feedback we hear from people about the food they get from community kitchens. The quality of food in most community kitchens tends to be low. Donate here: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… This is why we work with specific kitchens that provide high quality basmati rice that is cooked with oil and spices. We also distribute it tent by tent rather than have people queue up to receive the food. These might seem like minor details during a famine but we find them important to preserve peoples dignity no matter how difficult things are in Gaza. Our distribution today was in Tuyoor Muhajera camp in Khan Younis, and 250 plates cost $2,573. Donate to the South campaign for more food distributions: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

We’re going to trial. The Federal Court has dismissed @MelbSymphony’s attempt to strike out my case. The court ruled my claim has reasonable prospects of success & must be heard at trial. If you believe in free speech & artistic integrity, please support my crowdfund: chuffed.org/project/justice-… This is not just about one cancelled concert. It’s about the right of all artists to speak truthfully without fear. It’s about standing up to the growing pressure to stay silent on human rights issues. I was removed from an MSO performance for introducing a piece dedicated to journalists killed in Gaza, where I shared factual, verified information. The orchestra claimed this was an inappropriate political intrusion. This court decision affirms that I deserve the right to be heard. Your support has brought us to this point — and I need it more than ever as we move toward trial. Thank you for standing with me. For truth, for justice, for the role of art in public life. — Jayson #JusticeForJayson #FreeSpeech #ArtisticFreedom #HumanRights #MSO #JaysonGillham #Censorship #StandWithArtists

With famine officially declared in Gaza and rising cases of malnutrition, the Sameer Project team continues to provide the food available in the markets. On a daily basis, the South team provides 500 meals across Khan Younis. Camps covered include: Batoul camp, Nakhil Sahel, Karmel, Mustaqbal, Minnat Allah, Muthaboon and others. The team rotates between the camps over the days to make sure there’s equity in distribution. Each rice meal is enough for two people and we got a good deal this week for 18 shekels / $5. Some of this is paid cash and some by bank transfer and commission varies accordingly. For this week we did it via transfer with only 10% commission which means we pay $2,668 per day. Your material support is needed, check out our South campaign link today: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…

The @MelbSymphony is trying to have my case thrown out of court on a legal technicality, in an attempt to avoid addressing the facts of the case, ie whether they discriminated against me for my political belief. What political belief would that be I wonder? Oh yes, the one where genocide is bad, Palestinian journalists are journalists, international law is international law, and the truth is the truth. The @fedcourtau will hear the MSO's interlocutory application to my case on 17 March at 11am AEDT. The MSO will argue that because I was engaged under a particular type of contract, I shouldn't be protected by Australia's workplace discrimination laws. This is a disingenuous reading of the law that is also very dangerous, for if it were to succeed it would create a loophole that could strip away discrimination protections for thousands of freelance artists and anyone working under similar contracts - not just in the arts, but across all industries. This case goes far beyond what happened to me. This is a fight for basic rights at work, and I'm calling on Australians to stand with me. Mounting a legal challenge of this scale is expensive, but it's essential. Please support me in this fight by donating to my legal fund 'Justice for Jayson' chuffed.org/project/justice-… and sharing this message. Thank you for your support.

MSO asks the court to throw out my case on a legal technicality 👇🏻
Next Monday, the @MelbSymphony represented by Arnold Bloch Leibler will try to have @jaysongillham ‘s case knocked out by asserting the MSO had no contractual relationship with him. The case will impact the status of all artists working with Aus orchestras, and potentially all contract workers. Strange that company that claims to have no relationship with you can cancel your concert.

For six days, nothing has entered Gaza, and prices are inflating at an alarming rate. The cost of milk and diapers is extremely high. Ahmed has twins who need a lot of care, and he is going through very difficult circumstances. Please donate and share the campaign. chuffed.org/project/123718-h…

Appeal Court *slightly* reduces sentences on some of 16 peaceful climate protesters, jailed for total 41 years. This isn’t justice. People desperate for climate action to save lives treated like organised criminals while big oil & gas get away with ecocide bbc.com/news/articles/cm2jvm…
