In November 2025, Sky News Arabia asked me for an interview. I rarely speak to Arabic-language media, but the producers kept insisting, telling me they admired my courage. So I made an exception.
Obviously, the interviewer challenged my support for Israel. Her main complaint was that I never "criticize Israel." I asked her to be specific. She said Israel is behind all of our problems in the region.
I told her that political Islam is behind our problems. Then I asked her: what would you do if you were in a park and heard someone scream "Allahu akbar"? I answered for her: "You'd run. Like I would." Islamists thrive where there is widespread ignorance, ignorance fed by poverty, and poverty caused by bad governance and corruption. That is the fertile ground they recruit from. Israel did not create it.
When she ran out of arguments, she reached for the classic: Ben Gvir. Even when Ben Gvir "desecrates" Al-Aqsa, she said, I don't criticize Israel.
I told her that as far as I'm concerned, no Jew desecrates Al-Aqsa. The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism. Jerusalem isn't named even once in the Quran. And I have gone up with Jews myself, so I've seen with my own eyes how they "storm" Al-Aqsa. What circulates in Arab media is lies. Jews enter through a separate gate. Israeli police have stopped them from bringing prayer books so as not to offend Muslims. They don't go into the mosque (why would they?). They pray at the site, and because that offends Muslims, it gets called "desecration." I am offended on behalf of the Jews.
Many Jews in Israel also criticize Jews who pray on the Temple Mount. They give many reasons, but I've come to see that underneath it all, most of them are afraid. They don't want Jews praying there because they fear provoking Muslims. Even those who know the desecration claims are absurd would rather appease than confront.
I grew up in the Arab world, and I know where appeasement leads: the bully grows bolder, and the bullied keep giving more away. I refuse to play that game. That is why more and more Israelis now call me "Ben Gvir." Sometimes it hides contempt. Mostly it hides fear.
Needless to say, they never aired the interview.

Τιμώντας αυτή την παρακαταθήκη, η Πρέσβης του Ισραήλ στην Ελλάδα, @Amb_PninatYanay ανακοινώνει την πρωτοβουλία «ΟΧΙ – Τιμώντας το θάρρος, εμπνέοντας τις επόμενες γενιές».
Κάθε χρόνο, ανήμερα της επετείου του «ΟΧΙ», η Πρεσβεία του Ισραήλ θα απονέμει μια τιμητική διάκριση και θα προσφέρει μια δωρεά σε ένα ελληνικό εκπαιδευτικό ίδρυμα, μια κοινότητα ή μια κοινωνική πρωτοβουλία που εκφράζει τις κοινές αξίες του θάρρους, της ελευθερίας και της αλληλεγγύης.
Φέτος, σε συνεργασία με το Υπουργείο Παιδείας, θα προσφέρει σύγχρονη εκπαιδευτική τεχνολογία και εξοπλισμό στο Πρότυπο Εκκλησιαστικό Γυμνάσιο Λύκειο Ξάνθης, μιας περιοχής που υπέφερε βαθύτατα στον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο.
Με τη συνεργασία Ελλήνων εταίρων και τη στήριξη Ισραηλινών δωρητών και υποστηρικτών, η πρωτοβουλία μετατρέπει τη μνήμη και την ευγνωμοσύνη σε επένδυση στο μέλλον.
Όπως δήλωσε η Πρέσβης: «Ο ελληνικός λαός δίδαξε στον κόσμο ότι, μερικές φορές, η πιο γενναία λέξη είναι το “ΟΧΙ”».
Ένα ιστορικό «ΟΧΙ» γίνεται ένα ηχηρό «ΝΑΙ» στο μέλλον των παιδιών της Ελλάδας.

Η εποποιΐα του 1940, είναι ένα λαμπρό κεφάλαιο στην ιστορία με τους αγώνες του Έθνους, για τη διαφύλαξη του αγαθού της Ελευθερίας.
Το παράδειγμά των ηρώων αποτελεί ισχυρό μήνυμα προς όλους εμάς, ότι η Ελευθερία δεν χαρίζεται, αλλά κερδίζεται, με αγώνες και θυσίες.

28η Οκτωβρίου 1940, γιατί νικήσαμε.
1) Η πολεμική προετοιμασία. Η νίκη οφείλεται πρωτίστως στην άρτια πολεμική προετοιμασία των ετών 1936-1940. Το καθεστώς Μεταξά ήρε τον διχασμό δεκαετιών, πήρε έναν διαλυμένο στρατό από τα συνεχή πραξικοπήματα βενιζελικών και βασιλοφρόνων και έφτιαξε έναν ενιαίο αξιόμαχο στρατό με αποκλειστική δέσμευση στο κράτος-έθνος. Η κοινωνία είχε ομοφρονήσει.
2) Ο γεωπολιτικός προσανατολισμός. Ο Μεταξάς ήταν πλέον οπαδός των δυτικών θαλασσίων δυνάμεων. Από το 1934 ανέφερε ότι η Ελλάδα είναι «θάλασσα περιβαλλομένη υπό ξηράς» και αυτονόητα στο πλευρό της θαλάσσιας Μεγάλης Βρετανίας. Η μεταβολή της 4ης Αυγούστου 1936 έγινε για έναν λόγο: να προετοιμάσει την χώρα για τον επερχόμενο πόλεμο στο πλευρό των Συμμάχων. Η απόφαση για το ΟΧΙ ήταν δεδομένη από το 1936.
3) Η οργανωτική ένταση του καθεστώτος. Η πολεμική κινητοποίηση της κοινωνίας με τα συλλογικά έργα, την ελληνοκεντρική ιδεολογία, την ΕΟΝ που έβγαλε την νεολαία στην ύπαιθρο και της έδωσε βασική στρατιωτική εκπαίδευση, οι συχνοί έρανοι, ο κεντρικός συντονισμός και η εσωτερική ένταση της χώρας επί 4 έτη υπήρξαν βασικοί παράγοντες της νίκης. Η κοινωνία είχε μάθει να κινητοποιείται.
4) Η ανθρωπογεωγραφία. Το 1940 ήμασταν ακόμη αγροτικός πληθυσμός, μαθημένος στις κακουχίες. Αγρότες, κτηνοτρόφοι και αλιείς είναι σκληροτράχηλοι με αντίληψη των φυσικών φαινομένων. Αξιόπιστη εναλλακτική είναι οι βιομηχανικοί εργάτες που έχουν αυξημένη πειθαρχία και τεχνικές γνώσεις (γερμανικός και σοβιετικός στρατός). Εδώ η διαφορά με το 1974, όταν ο αστικός πληθυσμός ήταν πλειονότητα.
5) Η συνοχή των μονάδων. Οι πολεμιστές μάχονται για την πατρίδα, αλλά και για τους συμπολεμιστές δίπλα τους, την μικρή ομάδα, όπως έχουν δείξει μελέτες για τον Β΄΄ΠΠ. Οι ελληνικές δυνάμεις αποτελούνταν από τοπικές μονάδες με πολλούς συγγενείς και γνωστούς.
6) Η Βόρειος Ήπειρος. Ο ελληνικός στρατός πολεμούσε στην Βόρειο Ήπειρο, την οποία απελευθέρωνε ξανά και γινόταν δεκτός από τους αλύτρωτους Βορειοηπειρώτες, γεγονός που ενίσχυε την μαχητικότητά του.
7) Οι πέμπτες φάλαγγες. Το καθεστώς εξουδετέρωσε τις πέμπτες φάλαγγες των γερμανόφιλων, σοβιετόφιλων και σλαβόφωνων στασιαστών με αυστηρά μέτρα. Οι γερμανόφιλοι πυρήνες συνελήφθησαν, το ΚΚΕ είχε διαλυθεί, οι σλαβόφωνοι τελούσαν σε καθεστώς αυστηρού ελέγχου και συμμόρφωσης.
Μία νίκη δεν είναι αυτονόητη, το 1940 το έθνος έκανε ό,τι έπρεπε.

How Islam is increasingly asserting itself in public spaces and demanding a more prominent place in our societies.
This mass prayer took place in Turin, Italy, last week.
In this display of power, which is precisely what they are conveying by having 40,000 people pray in a public space, they chant: “Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illa Allah.”
This means: “Allah is the greatest, and there is no god but Allah.”
Meanwhile, in many European countries, Christmas markets are being renamed “winter markets” and Easter holidays “spring holidays.”
Islam and its rituals are expanding under the banner of religious freedom, even though Islam is not a religion like any other.
There is no clear separation between the cultural and political dimensions of this religion.
The rules of Allah, known as Sharia, are to be followed literally, even in the 21st century and down to the smallest detail, even when they undermine women’s freedom and equality, or when non-Muslims are classified as “kuffar,” meaning unbelievers.
The word “kafir” is used to designate non-Muslims as unbelievers, a distinction that can be used to justify discrimination and even violence against them.
Europe and the West must remain vigilant in the face of the gradual spread of a culture that is not our own and shows no respect for others.
We must confront this trend before it is too late.

De laatste dagen zijn er mensen uit de moslimgemeenschap, zoals Mohammed, Ahmed, Salma, Hadricia of anderen, die mij op mijn sociale media voortdurend aanvallen en belachelijk proberen te maken omdat ik mij kritisch uitlaat over de rellen en vernielingen die door veel jonge allochtonen worden veroorzaakt in Brussel, Parijs en andere Europese steden.
Ze zeggen daarbij: “Maar jij bent zelf ook een allochtoon.”
Inderdaad. Ik ben van buitenlandse afkomst. En precies daarom wil ik heel duidelijk uitleggen waar het verschil ligt.
Ik heb nooit tegen de westerse waarden gestreden. Integendeel. Ik verdedig ze met hart en ziel. Niet alleen uit respect voor de mensen en de samenleving die mij hebben ontvangen, iets wat eigenlijk iedereen zou moeten voelen, maar ook omdat ik zelf volledig achter die waarden en manier van leven sta en ze wil beschermen.
Mijn kritiek gaat over de mensen die deze waarden verwerpen, die het Westen als verderfelijk beschouwen en die menen dat ze het uiteindelijk moeten vernietigen. Dat is waar ik mij tegen verzet. Helaas gaat het daarbij vaak om mensen uit de moslimgemeenschap.
En wie naar de beelden van de vernielingen in Brussel, Parijs en andere Europese steden kijkt, ziet dat je onder de mensen die deze vernielingen veroorzaken bijna nooit een Pers uit Iran of een Jood tegenkomt. De mensen die publieke eigendommen vernielen, schade veroorzaken en proberen de samenleving te ontwrichten, komen vaak uit milieus waarin een sterke afkeer van het Westen en zijn waarden aanwezig is.
Daar ligt mijn kritiek.
Dus aan Said, Ahmed, Mohammed, Haticha of wie dan ook die probeert mij te kleineren, heb ik één boodschap: zet je energie niet op mij. Ik ben een zelfverzekerde vrouw die in de gevangenis van de ayatollahs rechtop bleef staan en nooit plooit. Jullie ‘intimidatie’ werkt niet op mij. Als volksvertegenwoordiger van dit prachtige land zal ik altijd problemen bij naam noemen om er vervolgens een oplossing voor te vinden.
Als je werkelijk iets wilt veranderen, ga dan naar je eigen mensen, naar mensen van jouw generatie en binnen jouw eigen moslimgemeenschap, en spreek hen aan. Zeg hun dat het aanvallen van dit land, het vernielen van onze publieke ruimte en het veroorzaken van schade onaanvaardbaar is en moet stoppen.
Ik heb niemand gevraagd om mij te volgen of het met mijn mening eens te zijn. Maar wie ervoor kiest om mij op mijn sociale media te volgen, zal mijn mening ook moeten kunnen verdragen. Je mag mij inhoudelijk bekritiseren en mij tegenspreken. Maar persoonlijke aanvallen en pogingen om mij belachelijk te maken, zijn niet nodig.
Ik ben zelf een allochtoon. Het verschil is dat ik nooit tegen de samenleving die mij heeft ontvangen, heb gevochten. Ik heb ervoor gekozen haar waarden met hart en ziel te dragen en te verdedigen, en dat doe ik elke dag in mijn politieke engagement. Want ik hou van de westerse beschaving en ik hoop dat het hele Midden-Oosten ooit deze waarden zal dragen.

I have been to Turkey, lived in the Middle East for 11 years, speak Arabic and Hebrew. I realize Turks are not Arabs and speak Türkçe, but they are largely Sunni, and under Erdogan have become a major center for the Muslim Brotherhood, and harbor much of Hamas’ leadership. They occupy half of the county of Cyprus, threaten Greece, oppress the Kurdish minority, deny the Armenian genocide that they committed, and have ambitions to restore the Ottoman Empire. They claim to oppose colonialism but Turks themselves are not native to what is today Turkey. They are invaders from central Asia who captured Constantinople in 1453, changed the name to Istanbul and converted the Hagia Sophia Church into a Mosque. They then went on to invade Europe and were only stopped, at great sacrifice, at the gates of Vienna in 1529. Pretending like Turkey is an ally is the height of ignorance and naïveté.

I am proud to lead a bicameral bill with @SenMarkey to compel Turkey to adhere to democratic values, respect human rights, and release political prisoners. For nearly a decade, the Erdogan government has moved further away from those responsibilities. Turkey should not be granted greater U.S. security assistance unless there are clear, demonstrated improvements in each of these categories.

Greece didn’t “blackmail” anyone. It used the exact same sovereign veto that every other member state has used when their own interests were on the line. Hungary does it. Poland has done it. France and Germany do it quietly when it suits them. The difference is that this time a southern country protected one of its actual competitive industries instead of performing for the cameras, and the federalist set is having a collective seizure.
Let’s dismantle the rest of the sanctimony:
- Those “€288.7 billion in rescues” were not gifts from the virtuous North. They were loans structured to prevent French and German banks from eating catastrophic losses on Greek debt. Greece paid the price in a decade of austerity, mass unemployment, collapsed living standards, and permanent emigration of its youth. You don’t get to extract that pound of flesh and then act shocked when Athens refuses to sacrifice one of the few remaining high-value sectors it still dominates.
- The ECB bond purchases were monetary policy to stop the euro from fracturing, not charity. And the 1999 deficit revision? Cute. Half the original eurozone members engaged in creative accounting or outright statistical fraud to get in. Italy’s numbers were a joke. The Commission looked the other way because the political project mattered more than the rules. Selective memory is not an argument.
The Dynagas exemption is limited, temporary, and applies to pre-invasion contracts on highly specialized Arctic vessels that have almost no alternative employment. An outright ban wouldn’t have meaningfully reduced Russian revenues; it would have transferred the business and the ships to Chinese and other non-EU operators. Greece pointed this out. Everyone else preferred the moral high ground plus the quiet knowledge that their own energy imports and industrial interests remained protected.
If the real complaint is that unanimity is inconvenient for the people who want a more centralized EU that can ignore smaller states, just say so. Don’t dress it up as outrage over “solidarity.” Solidarity apparently means Greece must accept permanent economic subordination while the larger members protect their champions. That arrangement has a name, and it’s not a union of equals.
Greece’s action was self-interested, transactional, and entirely predictable in a system that still pretends national interests don’t exist until a smaller country asserts one. If that bothers you more than the actual effectiveness of the sanctions, the problem isn’t Athens.
