Alberta voters have overwhelmingly chosen a stronger, more prosperous future for their province by remaining in Canada. I’m thrilled by the decisive support Albertans have shown for the country we all love. Now it’s up to the rest of Canada to deliver on our commitment to Alberta by building new pipelines, unlocking our natural resources and unleashing the prosperity that will protect the future of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

Buy Ontario. Buy Canadian. For governments across Ontario, it’s not an option. It’s the law.
Now, more than ever, we need a Team Canada approach to protect our workers, businesses and communities.

Yesterday, I wrote to Ontario’s 444 municipalities to make clear our expectation that they fully comply with Buy Ontario policies and maximize the use of Ontario and Canadian goods and services.    In the face of U.S. tariffs, every procurement dollar matters. Together, we will stand up for our workers, strengthen our economy and protect Ontario.

Lake Ontario is and will always be Lake Ontario, and no executive order will change that. It doesn't belong to President Donald Trump to rename on a whim. Our two countries have real trade issues that impact our people. Instead of responding to stunts and distractions, Canadians must stay focused on what we can control: making our economy strong and affordable at home and using our leverage to fight tariffs abroad.

The best way to stand up to President Trump’s economic attacks on Canada is to build an economy that can withstand anything he sends our way. Yesterday marked another big step forward in our plan to build that more resilient economy, as we marked the groundbreaking on another major section of the roads to the Ring of Fire with Aroland First Nation. These roads are connecting First Nations to better services and unlocking the massive potential of Ontario’s critical minerals, including 70,000 new, good-paying jobs. news.ontario.ca/en/release/1…
Another historic milestone for Ontario, celebrating the major upgrades to Anaconda and Painter Lake Roads that have been underway in Aroland First Nation this summer. These roads represent key developments on the Corridor to Prosperity, with three significant access points to the Ring of Fire now under construction. Today is a cumulation of years of partnership, as we build one of the largest infrastructure projects in this province’s history. Guided by a shared vision of improved health, economic and social prosperity, we’re responsibly developing the region and building a stronger, more resilient Canadian economy—with First Nations as full partners, every step of the way.
