Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew says PM Mark Carney stopped short of "begging" premiers to return American booze to provincially run liquor stores. Kinew says the PM has said it might be a barrier to a deal. Premier Doug Ford's office has been silent on the issue. #onpoli

You go girl !
This is what “rain or shine” really looks like 🌧️👏 At 71 years old, Wendy Alexis powered through the rain to win the Women’s 70–74 200m national title at the Canadian Masters Athletics Championships 🇨🇦🏅 Watching her compete in those conditions reminded me of something football teaches you very quickly: you rarely get the perfect pitch, weather or moment. Once the whistle goes, you adapt and get on with the job. That ability to adapt matters throughout life because the conditions change as we get older too... The goal may change, and so might the way you prepare, yet society is often too quick to treat age as a reason to lower expectations before someone has tested what they can still do. Most of us aren’t chasing national titles, but we all have moments when an excuse feels easier than starting. Keep testing what’s possible. You may still have plenty of races left to win!! 💪 (🎥 Athletics Canada)

Am I showing “conflict” on the helmet? I’m showing athletes who died since last Winter Olympic Games . By which details did he determine that the helmet is showing a conflict? The whole world sees ‘memory’, but he sees a conflict?
''We cannot have 130 different conflicts feature, no matter how terrible they are.'' IOC spokesperson Mark Adams on the 'helmet of remembrance' ban for Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych. #Olympics #MilanoCortina2026

This Greenland/Denmark clip is pure comedy. The speaker tells Trump: your threats did the impossible, you united Denmark and Greenland. “You’re like a toxic partner who lies.” “You want peace? You want a piece of Venezuela, a piece of Greenland.” And the finisher: “You deserve the Nobel Prize… for uniting everyone against you.”

GOOD NEIGHBOURS... 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🟥 I have seen so many comments over the past several months, and especially in recent days, from Americans reaching out to express their apologies to Canada, for Trump’s attitude toward us: the harsh rhetoric, threats, and overall treatment... They emphasize that they do not support or endorse his behaviour, and stress their DEEP respect and affection for Canada. They want to make it clear that Trump’s actions and words do not reflect the views or values of most Americans. AMERICAN FRIENDS – we know that the great majority of you feel nothing but goodwill toward us. We’ve always been, and still are, good neighbours. ✅ A shared history runs between us. ▪️ Shared sacrifices. ▪️ Shared traditions. ▪️ An intertwined economy. ▪️ Shared security and defence commitments. That bond isn’t fragile. It’s not going anywhere. It’s UNBREAKABLE. And when this moment of madness has passed ... and it WILL ... we will come together again, bound by our shared affection and common purpose, as nations and as peoples. 👍🏼 This video from the last Liberal Party campaign, that features the town of Gander, Newfoundland that opened their doors and hearts to thousands of stranded Americans after 9/11, reminds me of our close bond. ⬇️ 🙂
