@AirEuropa lost our bag a year ago. After countless attempts to try to recover it we finally filed a monetary claim. They denied it, saying the claim was not timely. I pointed out that they had given us a second claim number and that the first was timely.

Now they refuse to confirm the date of the first baggage claim number and just say it’s concluded. Air Europa takes no responsibility for luggage they lose.
