O Donald Trump foi jurado de um concurso de modelos adolescentes em 1991. O concurso tinha garotas de 14 anos. Recentemente o jornal The Guardian descobriu que o concurso era fachada para que milionários pudessem transar com as garotas.

Automated code generation is one of the biggest use cases for generative AI. Meta gave SF’s top hackers 24 hours, thousands of dollars in prizes, and a ton of compute to see what’s possible. Here’s what we saw at the @AIatMeta x @FactoryAI Codegen Hackathon in SF (🧵):

Smart thinking about Retail Media Network consolidation from Andrew Lipsman's Media, Ads + Commerce newsletter. He proposes the concept of an Ecosystem RMN that bundles the inventory from long-tail RMNs and sells it programmatically. The benefits of first-party data and native categorical relevance are preserved while providing inventory scale.

Frankly this is embarrassing for our country.
This is a real video. On the internet. 40 days out from an election. What are we doing here.

I worked on these for about a year at Snap, and I have a million negative things to say about the experience and the device, but I think the product speaks for itself and is obviously bad. I don’t want to get into the specifics because I might inadvertently break an NDA, and would probably hurt some people’s feelings who worked on it, but it’s really a disaster.

Okay it happened! Snapchat Spectacles AR glasses. Fully standalone. 46 degree field of view. 37 pixels per degree. That’s roughly like a 100” TV screen! 2x snapdragon chips. 45 minutes of battery. Auto transitioning lenses. Designed for co-presence. Spectator mode and more. Gotta hand it to Snap for pushing on this extremely hard engineering challenge, despite the rest of their peers going VR first as a stepping stone to this ultimate vision.

Today, @CFPB is ordering @Navient to pay $120 million in refunds and penalties for its wide-ranging student loan servicing failures. More importantly, Navient, formerly known as Sallie Mae, will be banned from ever directly servicing federal student loans. consumerfinance.gov/about-us…

Its Friday lets talk about something fun. Grappling hooks. As a kid so much of my life was driven by a desire to get a real grappling hook, what I would do with a grappling hook, and how awesome my Batmanesque life would be with grappling hooks.

Your phone isn't secretly listening to you for ad targeting Anyone looking for reasons to be critical of the data collection and utilization undertaken in digital advertising is spoiled for choice. But the idea that advertising platforms -- and especially boutique advertising agencies -- can harvest audio data from smartphones to use for ads targeting is almost certainly a delirious myth.

Canadian here. We don’t have prayer in schools, or the Ten Commandments, or God. We also don’t have dead kids. No Canadian child has ever died in a mass shooting in an elementary school. We have guns. What we don’t have is Republicans. American has to get rid of Republicans.

Mike Collins, who represents the district where the school shooting happened yesterday, says “it’s not the right time to talk about” gun control, and that the solution is: “We’ve got to get back to God in this country.” Story. meidasnews.com/news/rep-coll…

This is such an absurd recurring delusion: - the “Facebook partner” cited here is a small marketing subsidiary of Cox Media Group. It claims to have built a product — “Active Listening” — that can be used to target ads on various channels to specific people based on keywords detected via their smartphone microphones; - This product originally surfaced late last year. This isn’t new, although the agency scrubbed all references to it from its website after the revelation last year; - Small, obscure marketing agencies often promise preposterous targeting solutions that are little more than smoke and mirrors. I’ve seen tools be promoted that claim to target based on a person’s walking gait. These types of alternative data products are nearly universally utterly improbable and when a company suggests their existence (usually without providing much detail on how they function, as in this case), they merely disqualify themselves from being taken seriously; - Both iOS and Android indicate when the device’s microphone is active. If the microphone was always active, the phone battery would be depleted quickly; - Lastly, I simply believe that any targeting based on arbitrary uttered keywords would be ineffective. If an agency offered that type of targeting to me, I wouldn’t want to use it.

🚨 #BREAKINGNEWS It's now confirmed NABJ and Donald Trump had a disagreement about fact checking him live. Trump refused to go on stage until they agreed to his demands. NABJ president Ken Lemon wrote an actual statement of why Trump wouldn't be appearing and was prepared to present it when Trump suddenly walked on stage. 🚨

Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November. joebiden.com
