Damn, looking into offline models again since last year and it looks pretty good.
Offline, kinda smart, basically free, private.
Lots of cool things to build.
I am sitting on a train observing other people working purely by copy pasting stuff from ChatGPT to PowerPoint and document editors. 🫠
Boy do I hate fully automated AirBnb check ins.
Had to create two accounts in shady looking apps and they didn’t work because I was using throwaway mails and they did not match…
All of my freelance coding work has shifted to orchestrating context as efficiently as possible.
Get Jira, Slack, Call transcripts, Figma and my own 2 cents into the agent without any friction.
Most of my non tech friends get a google workspace with gemini chat at work. It has no access to their file system or any real tools. But then they get told to leverage AI more...
It's baffling.
Installed macOS 27 a few days ago and for the first time in years, my MacBook actually completely froze today :( ❄️
Astra is crazy good, but the amount of times it wants to use computer use for easy bash actions is baffling..
I know the whole state management debate died down in the AI wars, but I still think state_beacon is absolutely amazing.
AI is very good at it and I can read it quite well. So reviewing is smooth.
But does anyone even tell their AI what to use anymore?
I kinda feel like tech social media is healing.
I see more love for detail and craft, and less “look what x one-shotted.”
I hope we’re finally entering the “AI is a tool” era. Albeit a very powerful one.
On the one hand I think that we have way too many agent uis by now, but on the other hand it is really fun to develop a tool that you can use to write the tool itself.
Immediate dogfooding 🐶

We are going to record a new @FlutterDACH podcast episode next week - which topics are you interested in the moment :)?
here's the widget animation scrubber 🧽
One little tool I built for my #flutter dev process is a personalized widgetbook with some bells and whistles to test live widgets.
It has image exports for app store screenshots, prototyping, animation scrubbing and some other neat tools that I keep on expanding.

Is there a single mcp out there that does not need to reconnect every single day?
Or is it the protocol itself?
