The migration to #Bluesky has begun.
I’m spending my day copying the list of people I follow here, hoping to find most of you there (about 1.3K).
15 years on Twitter, I refuse to call it anything else, just like I refuse to like corrupt ppl.
Just go fucking vote.
And get ten of your family and friends to vote.
trump and GOP are going to try to suppress your vote. Find a way around it and overcome the obstacles they put before you.
That’s how you stick it to the man.
That’s how America wins.
November is coming.

Imagine if Europe, in the days after 9/11, had cleared its throat and announced: We have struck a tremendous deal with Osama bin Laden. We have lifted the sanctions on his organization, so he is now free to trade on the open market and bankroll his war against the United States. Bush must step down. The man has no cards.
Has he even looked at his hand?
But no. Europe did nothing of the sort. Europe did not sit down with a mass murderer and come home gushing about what a strong and reasonable fellow he turned out to be.
Europe laced up its boots, flew to Afghanistan, stood shoulder to shoulder with the Americans and hunted that bearded wretch through every godforsaken mountain in the country, because that is what you do when a friend gets hit, and handing the attacker a shopping list while telling the victim to surrender is what you do when you have lost your mind.

I found this photo of president Zelenskyy incredibly sad. Never has a man tried harder to save his people and his country.
He will go down in history as one of the worlds greatest leaders .

For five months, a Russian lieutenant secretly helped Ukraine kill his own comrades by sending it the locations of his brigade, WSJ.
More than 300 Russian soldiers died, including a brigade commander. He took no money, then walked across a minefield to Ukraine. 1/

Sikorski: There are rumors that some people expect frozen Russian assets to be released back to Russia.
I don't think I'm speaking just for myself in saying: “Over our dead bodies.” 1/

The world is talking less and less about Oleshky.
But the suffering hasn't stopped. The people trapped there haven't disappeared. Their lives still matter.
Please, don't look away. Don't let russian crimes fade into silence.
DON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT OLESHKY.

🇩🇰🇪🇺🇺🇸 PM Frederiksen:
I haven't heard anyone say that EU leaders should tone down their public criticism of Trump. Nobody has said it. Nobody has even hinted at it.
If someone said that, I would disagree. As democratically elected leaders, we have to be able to have discussions with each other, even when we disagree.

Zelensky is making the right choice. The only path to peace with Putin is to cut off his ability to finance the war. That means going after Russian oil and gas. The US should back up Ukraine by continuing full sanctions on Russia. Putin only understands strength and is disdainful of concessions. nytimes.com/2026/10/15/world…

Kinda wild that there have been wild protests going on in Albania for months set off by a corrupt Kushner luxury resort project and there has been barely coverage of it here 🇺🇸 and Trump never gets asked about it. (H/T @ProudSocialist)

Do you remember Makar? I do.
He was celebrating his 7th birthday in Mariupol in February 2022.
We still don’t know if he made it out alive.
Never forget the russian war crimes that turned a thriving city into a graveyard.

The Hegseth 🇺🇸 plan to livestream an execution was too much even for President Trump. The plan caused such widespread revulsion that it had to be abandoned. But the very fact that it was launched is revolting in itself.

Ukrainians are not superheroes.
They are people who want to live, love, and see another tomorrow.
Two of Ukraine’s leading artists, @JamalaBird and ONUKA, have come together to release “Lyudyna” (“Human”) — a song about finding the strength to keep going, even when you have none left.

Chief Justice John Roberts handed Trump a get-out-of-jail-free card and called it constitutional law.
He thinks a lifetime seat makes him untouchable. It doesn’t.
Congress can impeach a chief justice. Most Americans have no idea. Spread it.

People of America, I have something to say to you.
When russia invaded Ukraine, the region my family lived in - Kherson - was taken by russia.
When the boys in our family went into combat, they went into combat WITH OUR FAMILY IN RUSSIAN HANDS!!!
Just think about that.
As our lads fought on the front lines, cousins, uncles, were being tortured by the russians.
Think about what it takes for people to fight on under those conditions.
And you know what - we flung russia out of Kherson, and our family is free now!!
So, people of America, this is what I have to say to you...
STOP TRUMP!
DO IT!!!
That's all we ask. It's not much to ask.
Each human being has their own fight.
This is YOURS!!!

In 1948, a photo summarized centuries of injustice. The man in suit and tie, standing before photographers, broke into tears. He was George Gillette, leader of the Mandan, Arikara, and Hidatsa tribes of the Missouri River.
The document in his hands was not a negotiated settlement. It was the forced secession of ancestral lands from his people to the U.S. government. More than 150,000 native ancestral acres, full of homes, schools, churches, and fertile fields. The US government forced him to hand over the land so they could flood it all by building the Garrison dam.
Gillette knew that with his signature he sealed a permanent tragedy. But if he didn’t, the tribes would receive NO compensation, The US government would simply take the land. Through tears he said "Today we sign under protest. Our hands are tied, but our hearts are sad."
The dam flooded entire villages, erased old communities, and buried centuries of indigenous history.
We must not whitewash American history in our schools.
