» - @ChrisFiola

With 22.93 @ChrisFiola just skated the 7th fastest opener ever on the 1500 meters!
In 2005 @erbenwennemars opened under 23 seconds for the first time in history, and now, more than 16 years later, Fiola did it for the 10th time.

Time to show the world what kind of talent is hidden in the east side of Canada!
SO excited to see this new Oval in Quebec. It’s going to change the game for speed skating.
Infrastructure matters.
As a kid from Calgary, I firmly believe I went to 2 Games bc of the @theolympicoval. Can’t wait to see new crop come from QC!

With the new indoor Oval opening in Quebec, I know we'll see a new surge of incredible athletes develop from la belle province and in eastern Canada. Skating outdoors in QC was special, but this facility will expand the benefits to athletes and the community for generations!
