This is a huge question mark for me as well. Sean had almost complete control over daily ops and was almost the highest paid coach in the league. Was it just the cap and QB despair or something more sinister?
I really wish at some point in the future, Sean Payton writes a book and includes why he left the Saints. I think about it often. Everyone knew he wasn’t done coaching but he definitely wanted to get away.

My realistic Saints next coach list Sean McDermott Darren Rizzi Matt Nagy John Summral (NOLA ties might sway him) Flores OC who doesn’t get hired by NYJ, LAC, TB.

I would agree but I've watched so many other teams do so much more with less. How many year 1 coaches are out coaching us? – at Mandeville, LA
Saints played their best football the second half of last year. Kellen is the all time winningest college QB, just won a Superbowl 🏆with Eagles and coach Staley won a Superbowl 🏆with the Rams. Shough has started just 15 career games and will be elite. We have guys who are WINNERS and know what it takes to win! The body of work is early we can give better evaluation January 2027. #GoSaints ⚜️

If Kellen could give me 1/8 of this passion I could *possibly* buy in. – at Mandeville, LA
OTD in #Saints history (10/25/1987), Jim Mora gave us his Woulda Coulda Shoulda speech! And it worked. That 1987 Saints team ripped off 9 straight wins after this which included defeating the 49ers 3 weeks later on the road! Shoutout to Big Easy Bloopers for the clip. #WhoDat

You could tell Rodgers is checked out and playing just to play today, and good on him. He's paid, he's having fun with zero F's left. I kind of love it. Dude didn't even put on his chin strap for a fake. That's "F you" confidence.
Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize. The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets. While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks. Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.

I think we're all starting to be on the same page here....... @JeffDuncan_ @nick_underhill @ShariefWDSU @FletcherWDSU @snowlikejonn @garlandgillen
The city, state, and especially Saints fans did an incredible job for the Domecoming and Paris game to show out & represent well. It’s a shame the team didn’t reward us. I know it’s just sports. Fans don’t “deserve” anything. But man.. I have no faith in Kellen Moore leading us.

Kellen Moore after Saints lose to Steelers/run game struggles: We have to dig in and solve this thing.

Spent the whole week in Paris to get smoked by a team that flew in YESTERDAY. Can't defend a run, don't have a run game. Every game lives or dies on the second year starting QB with a broken hand. Who is responsible here? I want opinions.

This. Lot of problems on this team. None are Shough. Lot of better constructed teams would be happy to have him.
You’re asking Shough to be completely perfect with no run support or threat of the run, I think that’s an incredibly tall task for any quarterback much less a second year starter

yes.
Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.

At this point it's not the gimmick, it's the man and I've seen plenty of men do worse.
I don't know if this is on X yet, but it appears the Nature Boy Ric Flair walked out of a Tampa Bay bar and keeled over in the street. Cut his head and his eye was bleeding badly. 6 hours prior to this, he had to cancel a trip to Washington State due to blood clots in his leg. Prayers up for a man who's living his gimmick until he winds up in a box. I feel bad for Charlotte.

I understand him. As soon as you step into an airport time is an abstract construct, and that does not end until you leave. I have found myself drinking warm beer at a lounge in Moscow wondering why everyone else was eating breakfast. That's airport time. It's not real.
I will never understand or comprehend the 8am double Woodford Reserve before takeoff guy.

Millennials, it's time to choose your midife crisis 1. Date a 24 year old 2. Quit drinking and tell everyone you don’t drink anymore 3. Drink heavily 3-4 times a week 4. Train for a marathon and or Hyrox 5. Have a panic baby (with wife you hate) 6. "We're opening the relationship" (she bangs, guy tries too and fails? 7. Get divorced to feel something 8. Get diagnosed with adult ADHD/autism 9. Niche side quests like rock climbing, gardening, handstands 10. Get very into video games

I'm my career I've never been as disrespected as much as today, and that's saying a lot about my career. It may be about time for the reset button, at least at this stop.

Frame it: This is the first time the New Orleans Pelicans have listed zero players on the injury report on opening night since 2018

Missed kicks and this bullshit almost cost us a blowout and it SHOULD ABSOLUTELY be a bigger deal. ALL on coaching.
feel like not enough has been made about Kellen Moore putting his backups in for one drive, then saying “whoops” as they nearly blew a 24-point lead

Are we dipping fries in Frosties again ya'll???
It’s true, yellow packaging is back. It’s also true, that’s not enough. Consider this a sign of change to come.

Pretty much.
they told us in math class in the early 2000s that we wouldn’t have a calculator with us always and 20 years later my friends argue whether or not my pocket phone contains a conscious machine god
