I continue to be amazed at how truly awful this man is.
The Texas Tribune reported this morning that Ken Paxton took 1000 trips out of state as AG but only 138 could be verified as relating to state business. Almost all of the trips were with security supplied by DPS at a cost of millions to taxpayers. He took trips to his 15 out of state properties and to Albania, Aruba, Australia, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, England, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Poland, South Africa or Taiwan.
She's a sharp one. Watch this space DC.
After my campaign ended, I reached out to the Bowser administration in good faith and requested a meeting to discuss our recommendations for 311. I brought talented young people with deep technology experience. We followed up with a memo outlining improvements to both the systems residents use and the technology behind them. OUC Director Heather McGaffin attended that meeting. @OUC_DC
What came of it? I have seen no meaningful follow-through. A few weeks after our meeting, the administration scheduled more 311 listening sessions. Listening should lead to action. Residents should not have to keep describing the same failures while practical recommendations go nowhere.
We have people who know how to fix these problems and want to help. But their contributions mean little when city leadership refuses to act or hold anyone accountable. We have tolerated a culture of cronyism for too long in DC: hire your friends, protect incompetent leadership, reward bad management, then blame fiscal cliffs and deficits when services fail. Raise taxes. Repeat.
As a Democrat, I want a government that actually delivers the strong public services we champion. What pride can we take in those values if we cannot even administer the services people depend on?

Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake.
Lisa: Your name?Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93.Todd: They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor.
Lisa: Are you okay?

Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan.

We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy.

• Robust age assurance measures to more effectively verify the age of young users
• Safer, age-appropriate content controls, including stronger safeguards against bullying, content promoting eating disorders, and content related to suicide and self-harm

• Limits on social comparison features, including beauty filters and visible “like” counts, that have been linked to poor mental health outcomes in kids and teens
