Something happened some time ago that each time I remember, it shakes me. Interestingly, the scene that took place that period has hardly ever left my thoughts.
Let me talk about the incident that occured in 2015 that changed my life forever. Then, I was a student in a prestigious day school which was quite walkable from my house. I was 14 in Ss2, while my younger sis was 12 and in Js3.
Normally, we would go home together. Although, on some days, she would leave me in school and go home while I would do same. My parents had complained about that, but, since we quarrelled a lot, we never seemed to agree or care. Sisters fight.
One day, our dad scolded us and took away our tablets, saying he would only return it on weekends, if we come home together throughout each week. We miss a day, we loose out completely. Of course, we didn't want our tabs taken away from us, so we complied.
On this particular day, I finished quite earlier than usual and my sister was surprised to see me. She asked if I skipped assignment as we were always bombarded with one every school day. I told her that we had just one and I had taken notes down. I noticed she was skeptical about going home at that time and I was becoming impatient.
I tried to find out why she wasn't ready to go, forcing me to take more than usual time. She replied that she was waiting for one of her friends, they had promised to go home together that day. I checked my wristwatch and told her that she had only five minutes left and after that, I'd leave.
After more than ten minutes, I confronted her and asked her to leave her friend so we could go home, that her friend probably wasn't ready to go. My sister, Anna refused, saying she wouldn't just break her promise like that.
I reminded her what going home alone would look like as it was Friday and the last day to complete that week's streak. She bluntly refused and said I could go ahead without her, since I was tired of her.
After a little back and forth with her, I left her there and headed home. No one was home when I got there. I took off my clothes and washed them quickly. I had my bath, ate and was about to turn on the TV when the light went off. While I waited, I slept off.
I got woken up by a soft bang on the door. It was my parents. I had locked the door from within, so they couldn't gain access and that was where I had to come in. As I got up to go unlock the door, I saw on the wall clock that it was past 5pm. As my parents sauntered in, my mom asked about Anna and I mentioned that she should be in her room.
My mom returned from Anna's room and said she wasn't there. I asked her to check the bathroom, of which I joined her and Anna wasn't there either. My mom asked if we came home together and I replied negatively. That was when it hit me. If the door was locked from within, that means Anna never came home and that got me scared.
My mom became tensed and went into the house to call my dad who returned with her. My dad was surprised to hear that we didn't return home together. I had to explain what has transpired between us earlier, but they weren't hearing any of it. My parents left the house immediately and asked me to stay back.
I waited for them till about 8pm before they returned, but Anna wasn't in sight either. My heartbeat increased massively. I asked my mom what happened, but she didn't respond to me. My dad said they'd check everywhere they could, but no sign of her. He asked me to go sleep that we would continue the next day.
Well, Anna never returned home for weeks and her body was found in a stream few blocks away from the school. No one knew who her mysterious friend was. My sis, Anna, never returned home again.
I clocked 25 years today and it has been 10 years since my mom spoke to me. I'd continue to live with this pain in my heart, hoping that someday, she'll forgive me and I, myself.
There was this perfect uncle of mine that everyone loved in the family. He couldn't hurt a fly as everyone would say. Anytime there was a problem at home, it'll definitely be his wife, a lot of us would jump into conclusion. Well, I guess I wasn't part of the "US."
Well, don't get me wrong. I didn't despise him, I just felt he was just too perfect for how he was described. I mean, every human should have a flaw, right? Right?
Well, as luck would have it, or what most people would term fate. I had a one week long conference. I told my mom, my mom called his brother and her brother (my uncle) called me.
At first, the arrangement with my mom was to stay in his house. He had more than two spare rooms, so that should be more than enough.
He sounded off when he called me.
He offered to pay for my hotel room in an expensive suite, if only I would keep my mouth shut. I told him that, I'll speak to my mom and get back to him. At that moment, he knew I meant business and he stopped bothering me about staying in a hotel.
A few weeks after, I went travelled to the state where he lived. He came to the airport to pick me up, all smiles. He asked about the conference and I explained everything to him. I think, that was the first time we were having a good one on one talk.
He mentioned that his wife had prepared a lot of sumptuous meal for me and my stomach craved, not me.
We arrived at his house few minutes later and I was welcome by his wife who I felt was really happy to see me, his kids, Samantha and Steve. I freshened up and joined them in the dinning room.
When I tasted the food before me, I knew this woman would become my best friend. I mean, time would tell though. We spent some time after dinner and I went up later to my room to sleep.
Next morning by 6am, I hurried downstairs as I perceived the aroma from the kitchen. I greeted her warmly and she answered. I proceeded to help her, but she refused at first, but I insisted. I wasn't a good cook, I didn't like it being rubbed on my face, so I helped more in the kitchen.
I checked the fridge and freezers and noticed they were all packed with fruits, drinks, proteins and all, but no cooked meal. I asked her if she hasn't cooked to store in the fridge and she answered that she cooked everyday. I got pissed, but didn't show it. That morning, she prepared lunch they would take to school and a different breakfast. I went for my conference which was event opening day that day, so I returned home earlier.
She was the only one around, so I had a lot of time to talk more with her. I met her washing a lot of clothes. I asked why she was washing with hands and she said she didn't mind, it kept her busy. I knew at that moment, my uncle wasn't as perfect as they claimed.
This man had a lot of money, the house they lived in, he built it, but the woman wasn't allowed to work, just a stay home mom. One time, I asked her why she decided to be a stay home mom and she said it was her husband's idea.

We've been talking about fake products almost everyday, but it's funny how some of these companies affected are keeping mute about it.
If it was some time past, most of them would have been posting the real products to enable us know what to buy, at least, they'll be maximizing profit that way.
Does it mean that, some of these companies are the ones producing those fake of their products themselves? To reduce cost and make more money?
I told my family that I wouldn't meet any therapist or psychologist or whatever they called it, but they won't listen. They forced me to go regardless.
I grinned dryly as I stepped out of the vehicle. I asked my driver and the guy my father tossed to watch over me, to stay behind. The guy refused, saying it wasn't part of the deal with my father.
"You guys love to learn the hard way right? I said, rather calmly.
I didn't mind him. I took the elevator to the sixth floor. I knocked on the door and the so called therapist opened up with what looked like a smile on her face. The guy stayed by the door, while I went in.
"I didn't come here to pour my heart out. So, let's get over with this as quickly as possible." I said very quietly.
She smiled and that pissed me off. "Your father paid for two hours of complete session. It all depend on how you cooperate." She replied.
I asked her for a cup of coffee, so she got up to make one, then handed it over to me. I took a sip and well, that was it. She tried to probe me, but I was just too tough, I guess. I was timing it, the slow demise.
Few minutes to the end of two hours timeframe. I smiled calmly and said to her.
"You know, you desperately want words out of my mouth, right? So, I'll tell you. Well, my sister was my competition. My parents loved her more than they loved me." I smiled mischievously, then continued.
"I laced her drink with a poisonous powder. Not traceable, but kills within hours. She died, oh, poor Alice." I smiled and stared intently at her.
Just then, the therapist alarm rang. I got up and shook her hand, then whispered to her. "No one knows this story I just told you. Be sure you'd be taking it to your grave too. You've been drinking my powder."
I brushed my dress slightly, then walked out of the door gracefully. I could hear her gasp for breath.
I thought having a girlfriend who was a sxx freak as I was, who could cook and clean and take care of a home was just enough to make marriage work.
I married Ely about a year ago. Before we got married, we were so in love with each other. I took over from my parents company just few months before I got married, so my personal income increased.
Ely on the other side, had inherited a little fortune from her grandmother after her demise and with that, she started a restaurant and put someone to manage it.
We loved each other deeply and couldn't do without each other. We had sxx wherever and whenever we wanted and Ely? She was super hot always. It felt like the perfect combination and the perfect time to get married.
Ely took in and we had to rush marriage to avoid tarnishing our family's image. Few months after Ely took in, she stopped responding to my touch. She treated me like a plague and didn't want me around her.
I tried as much as I could to please her, but nothing I did got her moved. Some persons said it was pregnancy hormone, but I had no idea it was worse than that.
Few months after Ely gave birth, I hoped our sxx life would improve, but, it got worse. I was starved for months and I tried to bear it.
One day, at work, I received a parcel, so I took it home. Ely left the room as soon as I walked in. While unboxing, I noticed an improved disguised camera that came as a free gift and I just placed it on the flower vase.
I connected it to my phone and it looked quite good. I just forgot about it anyways.
Few days later, I got a beep on my phone and while I checked, I noticed my gardener in my room. Then, Ely joined him and they had marathon sxx.
I got turned on watching them. I decided not to confront them, till I got to see how much energy he's got.
Few months later, I served her a divorce paper. She signed it right away, I knew at that point that, I was nothing to her.
I lost my job on the first day of resumption. Phew! Let me tell you what happened.
I had been looking for a job since over a year now. Each one I went for, usually ended at second test or last interview. I wondered if I was cursed or something.
Until, a friend of mine posted a job opening advert on her social page and I applied. I got through all stages and finally, I was given the job. My joy knew no bound and it felt like I had broken that jinx.
I had no idea that my joy was for a very short time, more like a split second.
I was shown my desk, with a desktop and some files I needed to go through as soon as I signed in that morning. Fege was there to put me through a few things until I settled down, or, so I thought.
About a few hours later, towards noon, someone called my desk and asked that I report to the CEO's office. I found it weird because I shouldn't have any dealings with the CEO, I mean not even the manager, especially, not this early.
I quickly left what I was doing, and went to the CEO's office after confirming the exact floor. I knocked and entered, but he was already attending to someone, so I had to wait outside for awhile.
When he was done and I went in, he said he never asked for me. I decided it was a misunderstanding, so, I went back to my desk.
Few minutes later, I was called back into the office. The CEO's expensive diamond watch was missing. I explained that I hadn't collected it. They all claimed that things only started missing as soon as I left the office.
I tried to explain myself and swore on my life that I had no idea what it looked like. I was given a sack letter and sent home. As I got home, I lay myself on the bed and cried myself to sleep.
Few days later, I decided to dust my CV and go job hunting. I dipped my hand into my bag and felt something unfamiliar. As I took it out, lo and behold, it was the diamond watch. I guess the thief left it in the wrong bag.
Now, I'm wondering whether to pawn it or hand it back to the company that had disgraced me and accused me wrongfully.

Petrol that's supposed to be at most 329 naira, they inflate it.
From 150, to 500, to 1000, to 1400, then, to 1900.
Then, they reduce it to 1300 and you assume they're working. While they're trying to subject you to abject poverty.
But what do I know? They're working na.
You have two options.
1. Get full access to Government for four years.
2. Be granted citizenship of your favourite country + a dream job or business.
Which would you go for, and why?
I was wondering why this coat was bigger than me, way bigger.
Then, I remembered that I said I'd cut my coat oversize this year.

There are many traditions that money is used to settle
If they can do wedding in absentia with just picture representing groom, why can鈥檛 he send money?
They heard he was abroad, lured him back & successfully wasted him
Not attending the burial won鈥檛 mean Jack !
From good night my princess, potato pie, honey bunny, crusty chips, chocolatty, sweety pweety, lollipop, sugary sugar, my lover, my heartthrob, sugar in my tea, liver in my cucumber....

Carrying this ideology into marriage will cause more harm than good.
You have to find a way to communicate regardless.
Today's another day to not overthink.
That's the easiest way to buy high blood pressure for free!
Have a blessed day 馃グ

I feel this talk of eating pineapples because you want your coochie to smell good is overhyped
If you keep using tissue & wearing dirty underwear, 50 pineapples cannot save you
Practice good hygiene

I was embarrassed. Shey I should go back and say, please, it's not what you think.
I looked up and saw those thin rods flying all over. The next thing, one found its way into my stomach. Sometimes, your intuition works more effectively than you ever know.
Few weeks back, I received a mail from my class representative, reminding me about the upcoming camp tour. Ever since I heard about it, I had been feeling so uneasy about it.
During the previous zoom meeting, I tried to speak against it, brought a different idea, but everyone almost sliced me up, so, I stopped trying to change anyone's mind.
I talked to my mom about it, but she said I was just too scared of leaving the City. I agree that I seldomly go out, but, this was different. I felt this sense of unrest that I couldn't place.
Fast forward to the D-Day, everyone came in with their boxes and whatever they've got. Anna, my seatmate who also convinced me into going, came around to cheer me up. I let out a wry smile, just not to keep her around for long.
I joined the second and last bus, as people scampered for the first one. The journey lasted for over two hours and by the time we got to the camping site, I was tired, but the rest, were all bubbly as ever.
By night, alcohols became the order of the event. After awhile, someone suggested to go check out an old water factory that had closed down around the area.
I tried to talk them out of it, saying it was dangerous to go at night. But as usual, they all, refused to listen. We went to check it out eventually.
As soon as I saw dangerzone, I told them I'd wait outside while they continued having fun. I went outside to wait, while enjoying the cool breeze.
Not long, Sam, who suggested the risky walk, came out to join me. I asked why he wasn't with the others and he said he came to keep me company, which I found weird.
Few minutes later, I heard a scream from inside, I tried to go check, but Sam stopped me, saying it was dangerous, but we should seek for help. The next thing, I hit my leg and fell, but then, I saw thin rods flying from nowhere.
I got hit in the stomach and the next I woke up, was in the hospital. I heard later on that the 30 other students had lost their life in a gas leak that caused a fire, and Sam? I had no idea.
