The Tokyo Trials constitute a historic trial in which peace subdued violence and justice prevailed over evil.--Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson on the "Justice and Peace for All Humanity" photo exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the #TokyoTrials held at the UN headquarters
The Tokyo Trials hold great historical significance and relevance. This photo exhibition brings together a large number of photographs and archives of the Tokyo Trials depicting the true history of Japan’s militarist aggression and the wartime crimes to the international community. The United Nations was born out of humanity’s reflection on the devastation of war, therefore it fully serves the international community’s common pursuit of remembering history and cherishing peace to hold the exhibition in the UN.
The Trials are an integral part of the postwar international order. Recognizing and accepting the judgement of the Tokyo Trials is the prerequisite for Japan’s postwar return to the international community. Eighty years on, however, it is alarming that Japan’s right-wing forces still defy the historic verdict of the Tokyo Trials and try every possible means to deny and whitewash the crimes of aggression, promote a distorted view of history, and brazenly worship war criminals as “gods.” The international community should jointly push back against these trends. The lessons of history are still fresh in memory. Anyone who undermines peace and challenges righteousness and conscience is bound to be brought once again before the court of history and justice.
As an important force in the World Anti-Fascist War, China stands ready to work with all peace-loving nations and peoples around the world to carry forward the belief in the rule of law and peace, firmly safeguard the truth of history, uphold the postwar international order, and defend international fairness and justice.

From solar farms in Southeast Asia to off-grid systems in rural Africa, China's clean energy projects are expanding electricity access, creating jobs and building local skills.
In Indonesia's West Java province, the 100-megawatt Karawang photovoltaic project, constructed by a Chinese Company, supplies clean electricity to the industrial park in Karawang, cutting annual carbon dioxide emissions by 19,800 tons and saving about 8,800 tons of standard coal, while the project has also strengthened local expertise.
In Vietnam, PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. built the 330-megawatt Phu My Solar Power Plant in Gia Lai province. The plant generates about 520 million kilowatt-hours annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 400,000 tons a year. Construction has created more than 2,000 local jobs, while training helped develop skills in renewable energy operations and maintenance.
As developing countries seek pathways to energy transition, China's renewable energy supply chains, engineering capabilities and operational expertise are opening up new possibilities for renewable energy development.

2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, a legendary military maneuver led by the Communist Party of China in the 1930s.
Ninety years apart, the two bridges built in southwest China's Guizhou Province — spanning rivers that Red Army soldiers once struggled to cross on the Long March — bear witness to China's tremendous changes and share the enduring Long March spirit: the determination to overcome difficulties and press ahead.

In the third quarter of 2026, China handled 192 million entries and exits, up 7.9 percent year on year.
Five ASEAN countries—Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia—ranked among the top ten outbound destinations for mainland residents, while four ASEAN countries—Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand—ranked among China’s top ten source markets for inbound tourism.
This demonstrates the closeness of people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN. China and ASEAN serve as important tourism destinations and source markets for each other, and such two-way travel has helped enhance mutual understanding and regional connectivity. We look forward to more frequent mutual visits between the Chinese and ASEAN peoples, which will bring their hearts even closer.

On October 15, 2026, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as Special Representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended the Seventh Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and delivered a speech in Baku, Azerbaijan. Wang put forward four proposals:
First, jointly safeguard peace and stability. Asia does not need a Cold War mentality and does not welcome bloc confrontation. Asia's problems should ultimately be addressed by the people of Asia through solidarity and cooperation, and Asia's security should be ensured by upholding the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security.
Second, jointly promote prosperity and revitalization. Development is the master key to solving all problems. Efforts should be made to better align high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with the development initiatives of various countries, safeguard an open environment for cooperation, advance trade and investment liberalization and facilitation.
Third, jointly promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. Asia is the continent with the greatest diversity of civilizations. Efforts should be made to firmly promote the Asian values of peace, cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, respect countries' independent choices of development paths and governance models.
Fourth, jointly improve global governance. Efforts should be made to reinvigorate the authority and role of the United Nations, uphold the basic norms governing international relations established by the UN Charter.
Wang stressed that China will remain firmly committed to the path of peaceful development, bring greater stability to the international landscape through its own high-quality development, and provide stronger impetus for global growth.
