Today, we announced a new €13 billion commitment to Finland’s digital and clean energy infrastructure over the next two years — our largest single investment in Europe to date. Building on 15+ years in Finland, this investment will expand our presence in Hamina and establish new infrastructure in Kajaani, Muhos, and Vaala. During construction, the project is projected to contribute an annual average of €3.6 billion to Finland’s GDP and support over 37,000 jobs nationwide.

We’re announcing the landing in Bermuda of Sol and Nuvem, our transatlantic subsea cable systems connecting the U.S., Bermuda, the Azores, and Spain. These cables will bolster capacity and reliability to meet growing demand for @GoogleCloud and AI services around the world.

Today we broke ground on a new data center in Horndal, Sweden, our first in the country, which will generate 100 direct jobs. We’re also launching a €5 million fund for community initiatives focused on education, sustainability and workforce development.
