Thanks to the earwax-eating MAGA crowd, you're paying over $8 a gallon at the pump, fighting a war in Iran, and living under a president who's in bed with the enemy.

The Nancy & Lee duet, “Some Velvet Morning,” is widely regarded as one of the greatest duets of all time. In fact, it topped London’s Daily Telegraph’s 2003 list of the 50 Greatest Duets Ever. The song is anything but conventional, featuring dramatic shifts in time signature from 4/4 to 3/4 that add to its distinctive, dreamlike quality.
Lee originally wanted to record the two parts separately and splice them together, but the band, which included Don Randi, Carol Kaye, and Hal Blaine, insisted they could handle the tricky changes. What you hear on record was recorded in one take!
In this clip, my buddy Don Randi talks about the recording of this iconic song.

It’s not just the government that covered up Russian interference in Brexit. The press also played its part. This is one of the only times I was ever interviewed on the subject… by US media.
Here it is. This is the clip from yesterday's @CNN interview where I'm asked - for first time ever - about Brexit-Trump-Russia.
"These vital questions of national security have been interpreted as about politics. And it's not about politics. It's about power. And about Putin."

"Russia invaded Ukraine. The first country to surrender was the United States." (Michael MacKay)
There are nine thousand American graves above Omaha Beach, and Europeans still bring their children there to explain what courage looks like. A whole generation of us grew up believing that was who America was, the country that crossed an ocean to face a dictator and later stood in Berlin and told Moscow to tear down its wall.
This weekend that same country asked Moscow for diesel, and threatened to cut off the weapons Ukraine fights with unless it stopped hitting Russian refineries.
It is a sad thing to watch, and it must be sadder still for Americans, whichever way they vote. The men in those graves earned a pride that cannot be inherited, only kept or lost.
Today the home of the brave is in Ukraine.

NEW: Ten years on, Prime Minister @andyburnham tells @campbellclaret & @RoryStewartUK that there was ‘clear’ Russian interference in the Brexit vote.
FINALLY after years of cover-ups & denials from the highest levels of the UK govt. That in itself deserves an inquiry.

An amazing privilege to be invited to see the original Bramley's Seedling in Southwell, Notts. Sown from a pip by Mary Ann Brailsford in 1809, the tree is very close to the end of its long life, but still produced a few fruit this summer and a crown of healthy leaves.

Chile's capital buried under mud after torrential rains and devastating mudslides
Streets in Santiago are covered in mud and debris, cars are trapped in thick sludge, and residents are working alongside soldiers and municipal crews to clear up the destruction.
Heavy rains battered the city on October 8. Mudslides swept cars down the streets, flooded homes, and forced residents to evacuate. At least six people were injured, and authorities declared a state of emergency in the Las Condes district.
“Chile is a country of disasters. We have lots of earthquakes, so this is one of nature's tests,” said local resident Patricio Rey.
According to Chilean meteorologists, the extreme rainfall is linked to one of the strongest El Niño events in recent decades.
