NCL applauds @SenatorLujan for reintroducing the CARE Act, which would bring child farmworkers’ age and hour protections in line with every other industry, strengthen protections against pesticide exposure, and raise penalties for child labor violations.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we're celebrating the millions of Hispanic and Latino workers who keep America's farms, restaurants, and hotels running. We're also confronting a hard truth. Many are on visas that tie their legal status entirely to one employer, leaving them with almost no leverage if that employer exploits them.
