The situation for wild horses looks like it is worse now than at any time since the passage of the Wild Horse and Burro Act.....terrible...heartbreaking...but, in my opinion, it is a mistake for mustang advocates to characterize it as a partisan issue or to focus blame and anger on one party or one president. There is more than enough blame to go round. The program is the worst in the entire federal government, and it has been that way through multiple administrations. Doesn't seem to matter which party controls the White House or Congress. Somehow the WH and B program exists in its own independent universe and has been able to completely ignore and avoid meaningful reform. The will of the public has become completely irrelavent. Millions of us who are aghast at what is happening to the mustangs never seem to remember the issue when it is time to vote, so we elect and re-elect leaders who are beholden to the powerful industries which exploit and plunder public lands for their own profits and for whom the horses are simply in the way. facebook.com/share/p/1EmdXmy…
