Joe Torre was a star player long before he became the manager most younger fans remember. In 1971 he hit .363 with 230 hits and 137 RBI and won the NL MVP. He made nine All-Star teams, finished with 2,342 hits and hit .297 for his career.
The managing resume became so famous that the playing résumé sometimes gets treated like a footnote, and it really shouldn't.

THIS is why the era we grew up on was SO much better than today. Players cared about fans they cared about putting on a SHOW. Now you have Bron already making excuses on while he will miss time.. You have guys who only care about their money and their “brand” ✌️

Do I believe this plague talk is a real threat? I do not.
Do I believe that governments will blow it way out of proportion, to suppress the rights of the people? Without a doubt.

if you watched the NFL and thought something didn't feel right, you're not alone:
#1 most flags in over a decade
thru 4 weeks, refs are impacting the most CRITICAL moments of games most:
#1 most red zone penalties per game by offenses in history
#1 most penalties on 3rd/4th downs in the second half of games in history
and 17 touchdowns nullified by penalty! (vs only 5 in 2025 & 4 in 2024)
Refs are impacting the most important moments of games unlike we've ever seen before in the NFL, and even some of the coaches are speaking up

“Muslims are only 1% of the American population. They are not a threat.”
Muslims make up 10% of France’s population and they are burning down the entire country.
Not long ago they were ‘only’ 1% of France too.

Jokic is probably the most underrated player in basketball history because the people who would appreciate his game the most gave up on watching the NBA years ago.

I was 20 years old and on the cover of Sports Illustrated before I'd played a full season in the big leagues.
I walked into my local 7-Eleven one morning, put a honey bun and a quart of milk on the counter, looked down, and saw my own face staring back at me.
I walked out without buying either one.
What followed was 10 years of trying to live up to something I hadn't earned yet. I wanted to please everybody in the stadium. Make every scout right. Justify the cover.
Turns out that's the fastest way to please nobody, including yourself.
By the time I became a manager, there wasn't much a player could bring into my office that I hadn't already walked through myself.
RIP, sir. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
I have undertaken this project to put a face to 9/11 by posting a photo of everyone killed that day. If after everything that happened you can vote for the ideology that brought it about it's as if you are killing them yourself! Pictured below was 57 year old David Bernard who was killed in the street by falling debris after Flight 11 struck the North Tower. He was employed as a technical advisor for the Internal Revenue Service in Boston and was in New York City for a business meeting that morning in Building 7. He sustained severe injuries to his lungs and spinal cord as well as a broken shoulder and ribs and died in the hospital exactly 3 months later. He was survived by his wife and three children and missed seeing any of his grandchildren. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

This goes to show you what adrenaline can do for the body 😳
He didn't realize it was broken until trying to stand on it.

FUN FACT:
Freshman representatives John F. Kennedy 🇺🇸 and Richard Nixon 🇺🇸 once shared a bunk bed on a train traveling from a debate in McKeesport, PA (1947)
Nixon remembered talking about their Navy experiences and global issues
No word on if they built a fort…

If after everything that happened you can vote for the ideology that brought it about it's as if you are killing them yourself! Pictured below was 38 year old Michael Berkley who ran his own securities and brokerage firm called the Berkeley Group in the North Tower. Prior to forming his own business he had worked as a bond trader for Merrill Lynch and had earned a Bachelor's Degree in finance and an MBA. 9/11 was his birthday and he originally intended to take off work but decided to attend a morning meeting and then celebrate with his wife and two sons. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!
