The Cartersville Fire Department will be doing a special test of the emergency warning system, at 3:30pm today. We're performing preventative maintenance to make sure the sirens are operating to full capacity. This is only a test of the sirens located in the City of Cartersville.

Congratulations to the Cartersville Fire Dept for their ISO Class 1 rating! Fire Depts & communities are rated on a scale of 10 to 1; one being the best. 39,850 depts nationwide have been evaluated, & Cartersville is among the 1% that received a Class 1 rating. Great work!
