To put it in perspective, just the fact that you can become a Market Maker without having to go through Wall Street or get a license worth millions of dollars to do it, it's wild.
Such permissionless technology was not openly available prior to 2018.
If we look deeper into what DEXes are, they are not just a "Tokens Swap" platform.
They are modern financial innovation.
The amount of work and math that goes behind building a DEX is next level.
Uniswap v2 changed the whole game. It replaced the stardard order book used by exchanges, and in the process, it made the pools themselves the market makers.
