Last night, tactical and beat officers assisted Police Helicopter 1 in tracking a stolen vehicle near 64th and Kedzie. Three adult males fled from the vehicle and into a nearby building. They were taken into custody and the pictured weapons and vehicle theft tools were recovered.

On 23 Aug 26, Bt 864A conducted a stop near 59th and California Ave of a subject driving an electric scooter on the sidewalk. In an attempt to flee, a firearm fell out of his waistband, which was recovered. Subject was placed in custody. Job well done!

Tactical officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with tinted windows. An odor of cannabis emitted from the vehicle and driver was escorted out. In plain view, officers observed several grams of cannabis and a handgun. The driver was subsequently arrested. A job well done!

On 19 Jul 26, BT 861D conducted a stop on a vehicle with stolen registration by 63rd/Keating. The stop led to an arrest & the recovery of the pictured handgun. Felony charges were approved. A job well done by these officers for getting a registered gun offender.

On Saturday Night, 8th District Officers responded to Bt. 822 for a person with a gun call & observed an occupied vehicle blocking the sidewalk. An investigatory stop of the vehicle lead to 2 arrests & the recovery of the pictured firearms. Thank you & Great Work! @Chicagopolice

On 14 Jul 26, Bt 861E responded to a person with a gun call at Archer/ Cicero. Witness related a male with a red shirt and black shorts was armed. Bt 861E detained him and a .40 caliber firearm was recovered. The subject also had no FOID or CCL and was arrested. A job well done!

BT. 863c observed a male near 61st Pl/ Central Park between cars with a bulge in his waistband. The male dropped a semi-auto handgun, picked it up and fled with officers in pursuit. Offender tossed the weapon, which officers were able to recover after placing offender in custody.

8th District tactical officers conducted a traffic stop on Bt. 831. The officers keen observation skills of the male driver lead them to conduct a protective pat down. The pictured firearm was recovered from the driver's waistband as a result. Great work! @chicagopolice
