In the 1930s, Philippine President Manuel Quezon, Lieutenant Colonel Dwight D. Eisenhower, U.S. High Commissioner Paul McNutt, and the Frieder brothers hatched an audacious plan during weekly late-night poker games that led to resettling nearly 1,300 European Jewish refugees in the Philippines. On Wednesday, @theVHEC and CIJA hosted an event with @marksy85 to celebrate the launch of his new book, The Manila Poker Club.
