The lift at the far end of the bridge across the canal has not worked for a long time. We used AI to reimagine it as a ramp for cycles and chairs. AI just couldn’t make the ramp so it didn’t fire you into the canal, but otherwise we think it looks great! £1.4m estimate. #canal

Action by CCC and other local cycling groups has had an effect. Councillors support a motion not to ban e-bikes on Merseyrail 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqe8…

Well done to all from CCC who attended this yesterday. Most reputable e-bikes are certificated so this would be an easy way of allowing safe e-bikes onto trains. A blanket ban is completely unnecessary . bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5pv…

Today I took the opportunity to educate a driver who decided to beep me whilst crossing the road. Never felt more middle aged.

Lee’s family and friends at the site of the accident. Will the council finally do something about Hoole bridge now? Or will we be here again in a year? @CWaCTory @CwacGreen @cwaclabour @SamanthaDixonMP

If all cyclists ran cameras close passes would be a rare occurrence as they were 30 years ago when there were less angry people driving.
I’ve £10m insurance cover, ride with helmet, high viz, F&R lights, don’t go through red lights or on pavements, fund the roads through my taxes… makes no difference to how drivers behave around me. Warning them I’m using a camera does #Cycling

emea01.safelinks.protection.… A petition has been started to ask for improved cycling infrastructure on Hoole Bridge on Chester in memory of the cyclist that was killed there last week. Better cycle lanes make things better for bikes AND cars. @ShitChester

Statistics to be used when uninformed opinions are being expressed
The results from Wales and elsewhere show a 25% reduction in casualties. So if you keep a 30mph limit on urban/village roads where pedestrians and cyclists mix with motors you are imposing 1/3 more casualties on your community.
