Sefhophe is a warning, not a celebration. I didn’t want BCP to win, but UDC has lost touch. People want action on the ground, not rhetoric from Gaborone.
#JustIn: The Botswana Congress Party (BCP)'s Joseph Bagwasi has won the Sefhophe Ward by-election with 800 votes, beating the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), which garnered 705 votes.
She was part of the problem. Now she is on podcasts saying "people stole". Which people? If you are bold, say it under oath in court. Podcast clout and campaign won't fix a broke country. 🤦🏾♂️

I knew it. This logo is not original for Botswana. The core "60 + circle badge" layout was copied from Nigeria @60 which was celebrated in 2020. Our designers grabbed a "60th anniversary" concept that worked for Nigeria, recolored it, added local patterns, and pitch it. It is lazy and dangerous for a national celebration.🤦🏾♂️
We didn’t protect the Okavango for more than 50 years just to be a backdrop for a US talk show host’s safari. Read the room. Read the books.
Ellen’s 3-day visit would not pay a single community dividend.

I'm not gonna lie, Ellen Degenerate visiting Botswana really triggered me. I remember the international outrcry she caused when she spewed her hippie bullsh*t on her show about Botswana's Elephants... She should be turned back at the airport like that UK racist, Kattie Hopkins, who was run out of South Africa for pushing the white genocide narrative...
